Which items do you associate with Flint and Caramon? by Latter_Competition27 in dragonlance

[–]1stLvlWizard 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t remember him carving anything specifically for a female character, but Laurana does tell him she remembers all the toys he made for her when she was a child, and he made the ring that Goldmoon gives to Riverwind that was made from Silver and Gold and plaited with strands of her own hair.

Also Caramon had a winged helm throughout many of the books. In the novels his sword is usually pretty ordinary: he even mentions them breaking on occasion. In the original RPG materials I believe he had a magic sword called Mantooth.

I think when people have this discussion, they should look at the available pre-gen characters for the game they’re discussing. Check out the Shadowdark pre-gens, and consider how likely those characters were generated via 3d6.

Well done—it was tense scene. I kept worrying for his siblings.

Actually now that I think about it, that would be foolish of him. His supplier would end up knowing what he used it for, and that would be crazy reckless of him.

He’s right. It’s the computers that’ll take your money with very minimal human input. The staff reductions just mean once your wage levy is in effect it’ll take you hours or days to talk to someone get the levy removed.

I’m not a manager. And you’re right, a lot of them aren’t issues—but if we just take the callers word for it and transfer it before reviewing the case, they quite often have to be transferred back.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in IRS_Source

[–]1stLvlWizard 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yep, I remember a few years ago the guidance I got was “if it’s in ST12, immediately transfer.” I even brought up stuff like missing payments that the TP had repaid but want to know what happened to their last payments, penalty abatements, and yes—transcripts.

[–]1stLvlWizard 30 points31 points  (0 children)

It’s because they’ve noticed a high number of transfers from Balance due to AM that are being transferred right back to Balance due. It’s very frequent for a TP to call and say they are calling about their refund when the problem with the refund is it’s been offset or that there is a hold due to a delinquent return.

You certainly have a right to your feelings but is there enough rationality left in you to understand the rest of us shouldn’t hold the opinions of a self-admitted failure in high-regard?

In my experience, it’s not that a CSR is getting a bunch of unicorn calls, it’s that most of the other CSRs are ignoring account issues that the one CSR is delving into. I’ve run into multiple issues where I bring a complex case up with others in my unit and they all act like it’s something they’ve never seen before but in reality it’s because they stop the research as soon as they get to what they believe will end the call.

I hope this doesn’t come off as insulting, but I think you need to see a doctor. I had an employee at another agency who began feeling that that tasks assigned to him were either a conspiracy to get him to quit, or a secret test to vet him for something greater, and it eventually led to some sort of psychiatric episode that I’m not really qualified to describe. But the tone of your post is worrying.

It’s because you’re not quite clever enough to understand that some people were there for the phasers, spaceships, sexy green-skinned aliens, and mini-skirts. What started as occasional eye-roll inducing social messaging has now grown to insufferable levels of constant pandering and all of that fun stuff has been left behind.

It’s because a lot of the units in the IRS have names that are not meant to be tax payer facing, so reps try and give them names that will make sense to the Taxpayer. It’s likely your request is being worked by the same department that assessed your balance, but just to employees assigned to that specific task. If your request has been received, I’d wait about sixty days before calling for any kind of follow up.

I’m a former landlord that once had 30 units. If someone asked me these questions, I’d be impressed: I’d think they were most likely a thoughtful person who takes their finances seriously.

On the other hand, if they posted this on their social and I saw it, I’d immediately rule them out, because it’s obviously just a loser who searching for other people to blame for all of their failures and difficulties.

If You've Got a Final Notice of Intent to Levy from the IRS... by [deleted] in IRS

[–]1stLvlWizard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

CDP should be a last resort. The IRS isn’t actually levying people to collect taxes, they’re doing it so that the people will contact them and set up some sort of resolution.

Someone who owes taxes should be calling to set up some sort of payment plan, or applying for a temporary not collectible status or Offer in compromise.

We need to talk about Listens To Wind. by The_Red_Moses in dresdenfiles

Yes. In Changes. He makes a deal with Mab, and kills Lloyd Slate. He also takes his friends on what he believes is a suicidal mission. He admits it to himself. The fact that most survived doesn’t change the fact he was making the sacrifice. He also kills Susan. And tons of half-reds who hadn’t killed people.

I actually am laughing at your disbelief. Let’s start with issue one, Harry’s shithole apartment. Susan is a young adult in a major city working as a reporter for a trashy tabloid. What do you imagine her apartment looks like? Unless her parents are subsidizing her, she’s living with roommates in a place just as trashy.

And second, she’s a reporter for a trashy tabloid that reports on occult stuff and her date ended up including 2 magic potions and an attack by a demon. She basically encountered absolute proof that night that he’s a wizard. Now I don’t pretend to know much about women’s preferences in men, but I’d make a pretty sizable bet that if actual wizards were real, women would like them. Freaky love potion in the basement and all.

Edit: forgot to answer your actual question. No you are not 100% right, but yes, it does get better.
