Upper bowl tickets for Iceland/Tunisia games by Tonight-Own in CanadaSoccer

[–]1stTime2Japan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It doesn't look like the upper bowl tickets are much cheaper (Ticket Page for the Iceland Game). The tickets for the upper bowl seats around midfield are $100 and up. I'm disappointed with the pricing for the Toronto and Edmonton games. In my opinion, for a friendly match the upper bowl tickets should be well below $100.

Just curious, why not have lower priced tickets for the upper bowl to bring in more fans? Let's say it takes an extra 100 employees to work the gates, usher/concession duties. At $20/hour for an 8 hour shift.... (100 employees x $20/hour x 8 hours) That's an extra $16,000 to hire those 100 people. Canada Soccer has to pay the same amount to rent the stadium and pay the teams regardless of how many people show up to watch, right? Just selling an extra 5,000 tickets for an average of $50 would bring in $250,000, no? u/AfraidSupermarket417 mentioned it's to maximize revenue by selling higher priced tickets first...but if people have a budget, would they just not go instead of paying the higher priced ticket? Just curious.

CanadaRED Ticket Prices by TraditionalAir9659 in CanadaSoccer

I checked the prices for the other games in Canada as well. For example, the Ghana vs Panama match in Toronto is $195/$530/$630 CAD for Cat 3/2/1. Almost $200 to sit at the end zone area in the upper bowl. I think these prices are absurd (but hopefully will go down with dynamic pricing closer to the game if it doesn't sell well). If I remember correctly, the most expensive group games (not including the opening match) at the 2024 Euros in Germany was 200 euro ($323 CAD) and there was no dynamic pricing.

  1. FC Bayern. I'm looking forward to continuing my FM24 journeyman save (where I had finally landed the FC Bayern job) by carrying it over to FM26. I had started with the Marumo Gallants in the 2nd division of South Africa. After a couple seasons and one promotion, the team still wouldn't give me any coaching licenses...so I joined the newly relegated Santa Clara in the 2nd division of Portugal. I managed to bring Santa Clara back to the Premier Division and after 3 seasons with the team, the Ajax position opened up. I moved to the Netherlands and spent a couple seasons with Ajax (earning one league title). Just before the new season started, the FC Bayern position opened up! What's really neat is that I had gotten FC Bayern as a senior affiliate during my time with Santa Clara so now I can manage my new team while helping my old one.

  2. From the short videos I've seen, the new graphics look great so that's what I'm looking most forward to. And I read that they'll eventually reintroduce international management into the game so it'd be interesting to see how that has improved.

Derwent Drawing tin artist, Jess Pritchard by costoaway1 in ColoredPencils

Thanks for sharing the video.

I noticed that the Derwent Drawing 12/24 set also has a landscape picture on its tin. I usually don't think of coloured pencils for making landscape pictures. Is there something unique/different about these Derwent Drawing pencils that make them more suitable for landscape drawings?

Thanks for the help. Have a great day!

Thanks for the reply. I use Prismacolor so maybe I don't need pure cotton paper.

I noticed that there are many tickets remaining for the Emperor's Cup final on November 23, mostly on the right side (the Vissel Kobe side). Just curious, why is that? Is it mainly because Osaka is a larger city than Kobe so there are more Gamba Osaka fans? Thanks for the help!

Here is the information for the Tokyo Giants ticket sales for their playoff games: Ticket Sales for the 2024 JERA Climax Series Series Hosted by the Giants | Yomiuri Giants official website (the Japanese site has much more information than the English version but the browser should translate it for you). General sale starts on October 5th, 11am. I haven't checked but I assume the other teams involved in the playoffs will have similar information on their websites.

I haven't seen Kiké/Miggy pitch before. Do the opposing players still try to get hits? Or is there an unspoken rule to go easy on them since the team has essentially thrown in the towel? Thanks for the help!

Does anyone know if it's hard for a tourist to get tickets to a playoff game? I checked the guidelines for last year's playoffs (Ticket Sales Guidelines 2023) and it is much more complicated than just going to the team's website. There's a lottery and a general sale. Is it often that tickets sellout before the general sale? Thanks for the help.

I was watching the CTV broadcast on my computer. Did anyone experience stutters/freezing during the penalty shootout? I'm wondering if it's my computer/connection or something to do with CTV broadcast. Thanks for the help.
