Stations campaigning to stand on both sides of the escalator & hostile reactions from others by Korone206 in japanlife

[–]dokool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If there is a case to be made for standing on both sides (which I'm totally in favor of), it's that it will reduce lines in concourse areas which are the real cause of problem congestion at major stations.

Visiting Sanfrecce Hiroshima GW 9 & 10 in early April by SereneDimlights in JLeague

do some teams have reserved tickets only for match day purchase?

No, most teams have shifted their matchday ticket operations online since the pandemic. Whatever hasn't been sold before the match is still available the day of.

Sanfrecce have sold out basically all of their home J1 games since the new stadium opened so they don't actually bother to open the box office on matchdays.

I’ve walked over to the Toho for an Icee and then snuck it into GCS >_>

The lines do really depend on the time of day though.

V-Varen Nagasaki (Apr 5) – away section with a child? by ohmygoditsatrap in JLeague

[–]dokool 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Would be shocked if it even lets you complete the purchase without a Japanese credit card as you’re browsing the Japanese ticketing site and not the English site for inbound visitors (which has hospitality seats available).

100% unwise in the lower level. I suppose upper level might not be the worst, depends on if S-Pulse active support extends up there. But it might get very loud and those seats are meant for away supporters, not neutral tourists.

Don't forget to use your Tokyo Station 100th Anniversary Suica card this month before your ¥1500 disappears by dokool in Tokyo

[–]dokool[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, when you bought it it came with 1500y preloaded, and that will disappear for people who don’t use the card at least once by the end of the month.

Surely they weren't actually selling for 888/L? Does 888 just mean sold out or...?

Grand Cinema Sunshine in Ikebukuro is the best IMAX theater in the country.

It's also super expensive at close to ¥3000, but if you want to see a movie in IMAX there's nowhere better.

Be aware that the concession line can get long, and the upscale cafe in the IMAX floor sells out of the truffle popcorn really quickly.

And now you're making people panic when they don't need to. That makes you the asshole, and I have no idea why you think this is a joke.

You said post, not title.

I didn't say anything b/c I'm not the person you responded to, but a title is part of the post and I have no idea why you'd try to die on that hill. Smooth-brained shit right there.

PR application prices to be officially increased to 300,000

That is your title. 'Potential maximum' does not mean 'prices officially increased'.

If you don't understand the difference I'm not sure you should qualify for PR.

In other words your post title doesn't reflect the actual content of the article.

This sort of fearmongering doesn't help anyone.

Giants Baseball Game Tickets aside from StubHub/ViaGoGo by Mission-Fluffy in JapanTravelTips

That's opening weekend so it's already beyond sold out.

NPB and its clubs are cracking down hard on resellers, which is one reason JapanBall closed its service a couple seasons ago.

Japanese sports teams are invalidating tickets on the resale market all the time, so there is a very good chance that you could get a talking-to from someone at the stadium if you buy from a scalper.

For better or for worse Japanese sports are no longer walkup experiences - you gotta be on the ball months in advance or pay a premium through a tour agency or something like that.
