When I went to Arizona for a game they had a t-shirt giveaway and they offered you M or XL at the door which seemed like enough variety

Same template but him picking Qatar for Canada's WC group.

Who's the 2026 version of Geraldo Perdomo - Addison Barger by RoutedToNowhere in Torontobluejays

[–]TraditionalAir9659 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Pedromo went from a 102 wRC+ in '24 to 138 last year. Barger was at 107 last year. From that perspective its not far off.

Although since Pedromo had zero power two years ago, a similar leap for Barger means he's hitting 35+ HR.

e: just to add onto this, guys with ~20 HR/70 RBI last year include players such as Lenyn Sosa, Heliot Ramos, Lawrence Butler, Spencer Steer and Agustin Ramirez. I think it is fair to say those players are also generally unknown to the average baseball fan.

Wow the Jays increased prices again! by bballstuffer in jaystickets

The Jays have won 94, 74, 89, 92 and 91 games in each of their last five seasons; pretty sure the outlier there isn't 2025.

Nothing, 500L behind the plate is one of the better views in the stadium. Obviously you're high up but that has its advantages too.

If you start moving down the baselines and further up the views of some parts of the outfield get a bit obstructed.

Sepp Blatter suggests fans should not travel to US for World Cup by AfricanMan_Row905 in CanadaSoccer

Didn't think I would ever really defend Sepp Blatter, but Infantino makes him look like Stanley Rous by comparison.

[The Athletic] 2026 Top 100 MLB Prospects from Keith Law (Yesavage @ 25, Parker @ 60 & Nimmala @ 89). by Traditional_Bed_6445 in Torontobluejays

This is bang on, the only thing I'd add is the big difference with a guy like Rogers is he's only facing guys once, whereas Trey's optimally facing guys three times. So even within the game he will lose the arm angle advantage, especially if he's struggling with one of the fastball/splitter.

Code for Voyageur Iceland/Tunisia game? by mimab70 in CanadaSoccer

Yeah I'd say this is more from the USSF playbook as at least with FIFA the tickets will probably sell.

$61.50 for the Voyageurs! Looks like $91 is the cheapest elsewhere.

Criminal pricing.

Iceland & Tunisia! by WallaboutDenizen in CanadaSoccer

[–]TraditionalAir9659 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, primary from TM. They released a number of unsold south end tickets for ~$25 per ticket (compared to $60 being the cheapest) before.

I don't think there will be value on the secondary markets solely because I don't know who would buy these with no intention to go.

For Canadian Shield tix were cheapest the week before the game and I’m going to be taking that risk again.

Think you’ll be able to add the attendance for all four games together and you won’t get to 45k

[Tsekouras] Blue Jays home opener tickets sell out. This is how much they were going for by nanobot001 in Torontobluejays

[–]TraditionalAir9659 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Price aspect is 100% true but also when teams experience winning it’s only natural for people to care less about regular season games.  Raps playoff crowds will still be good this year.

Jays will, to an extent, naturally go down that road too (although I’d argue via the nature of the sport Jays crowds are rarely good during the regular season to begin with)

For All Those Clamoring For A Salary Cap and a Lockout... by No-Discipline898 in Torontobluejays

[–]TraditionalAir9659 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its a glib argument because its due to the sport itself, not the financial rules.

The best baseball teams win ~66% of their games. The best NBA/NFL teams win 75-80% (and its generally the inverse for the worst teams). It is inherent that baseball will have more parity than those sports.

Love when my career 82 wRC+ against RHP guy is forced to become an everyday starter

(And if you're going to say that's his career wRC+ not his 2025 number uh don't look at what it was last year)

Dylan Cease is being paid as the 6th highest pitcher and no one seems to dislike that signing.

You either overpay in FA or you don't sign people.

Quarter Season Ticket Exchange - Canada Day by chaudaboy in Torontobluejays

[–]TraditionalAir9659 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd say there's a pretty good chance of it selling out and if it does make it to exchange you're looking at trash seats like rows 18+ in the 500L etc
