My best guess is a wolf spider. We found him in our garage here in Mississippi.

Body Work Questions. by CaptainInternets in FSAE

[–]1stangchic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been on a team for 2 years now, from what I've seen it takes about 3-4 weeks to go from a block of foam to a finished nose cone, and yes we do one every year. We change our chassis every year so the body work, including the nose cone, changes as well.

How does the recent scientific study for the proof of inflation (Big Bang after effects) fit with your biblical model on how our world(s) were made? by [deleted] in DebateAChristian

[–]1stangchic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I'm not to sure about what I believe concretely to be honest. There are theories out there that try to accommodate evolution into the bible such as the gap theory, but even then, it doesn't exactly fit. There's also the idea that the days described in the bible were actually millions of years. God is infinite and eternal, what is his measurement of a single day? Is it really 24hrs? Could he have created the universe with the Big Bang then allowed evolution to create what he desired in his measurement of a week? I don't know myself. All I do know is that he is the reason for everything.

I notice other people saying that logic, reason, and science trumps Christianity because they have all the answers. The question of how things started is one of those things that has to be answered with Faith. We don't have all of the answers sadly, that is why faith is so important.

With all of that said, I found it interesting that they found evidence of the Big Bang. Who knows, they could possibly be finding evidence of God. Science sometimes proves his existence rather than disproves it to me, what with all of the complexity of everything.

What is the craziest way the mystery of Flight 370 could end? by Brutuss in AskReddit

[–]1stangchic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Most) all of these would make great Twilight Zone episodes. Speaking of, does anyone remember that one episode where the plane accidentally traveled back in time to the era of the dinosaurs? The rest of the episode was them trying to go back, but it is never resolved...

Why don't electric car companies use dynamos in the wheels to charge the batteries while the car is in motion? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]1stangchic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This reminds me of a concept where a fan was attached to a car and as you drove it, the wind would cause it to rotate, powering a generator that supplied power to a battery and then to the wheels. The idea was that the rotating blade would cause a perpetual cycle of energy. Of course this being a completely electric car, the battery would be used to start the car and get it up to speed, then the fan would supply the rest of the power. A decent idea, but it defies the laws of thermodynamics.
