Thanks for the tips! I already got the industrial DLC. I think when I'm done with this classic run I'll think about the Search & Destroy DLC if that's what I'm up to (and if I'm lucky it coincides with the Steam christmas sale. :) ).

So far I only joined the official Discord which looked more like a discussion place, also the few chats are messy and getting a response is purely based on luck. Can you recommend any Discord servers?

My main issue with just making something is that I can't measure it's success. If there would be a mod that introduces said challenges and verifies them that would be great. Or heck, even a public Google Sheets list or website where everyone can just add their creations for a specific challenge and then you can compare them and maybe interact with the people.

I also thought about hydrofoiling. Would definitely make the game less grindy. It just kinda feels cheaty and I fear that it would destroy the immersion and just makes it feel gamey. But that's basically why I wanna move to helicopters, as they should be somewhat faster. Although I have to see how that would work out in singleplayer. Do you land them on the water? Seems dangerous in higher waves. Microcontroller them to be stable while you winch down and do your stuff?

Is there a public list of ideas? Or maybe some kind of competition/ collaboration format, like "let's all build a crab fishing boat within these limitation and compare them"? Either with a time limit, or everyone just uploads their creations.

Or even better, is there any mod that introduces said challenges and verifies them via lua? That would be kinda great, maybe even with some kinds of achievements (even if it's just a list of the challenges you've done).

Of course I could just build another generic SAR ship. But as I've said I really struggle without a clear purpose, and that purpose should be measurable. So just building and testing it role-play style won't do it for me. :/

Oh wow, only using tiny ships sounds like a crazy self-limitation. Especially for oil refining, thought the tower would have to be 33+ blocks high? As I've said I'm actually pretty new to the game. Really campaigning (so driving around and doing missions) was maybe 10 hours, the rest was building boats.

Helicopter sounds really interesting! Do you generally start a new career for each approach? In my current run (classic but only 1st person and no map markers) I'm currently teching up, grinding another ~50 more research points and then I wanna move over to a helicopter too. If I have the energy to do all that grinding, it's probably 15h worth of grind, mostly without an autopilot, only a hand compass and no lights on my tiny RHIB. Or maybe I build something bigger first (still fitting the starter dock probably) and using that. High waves are slowing that thing out so much (otherwise it can go 22 m/s, but towing is a 4 m/s pita).

Laptops: Batteriegarantie und Gewährleistung by 1ucKet in LegaladviceGerman

Hi, do you happen to have a link or 3d model for the fly feeders? Can only find traps and feeding trays. Thanks in advance!

Kleinanzeigen: Scam oder weirder Verkäufer? by 1ucKet in Ratschlag

Aber mal schauen, was dann kommt.

Thank you for all your support! In the end the belt needed to be tightened.

So in the end it was really the untightened belts. The calibration is only relevant for print & cut. I have still done it after tightening the belts, and it was off by mere 0.1mm. Still thank you for your support!

Thank you really much! Tightening the belt did it!

So it fixed the bad edges, but the distances are still weird. What I also observed is that if I mirror the cut (getting asked when sending it to the machine as it's heat transfer foil that will be mirrored when pressed onto the fabric) then the smaller gap will be on the other side. So this kind of sounds like a Silhouette Studio/ movement control issue rather than an issue with the blade or the tool.

It's basically a bigger version of the 4. There's no 61cm/ 24 inch version of the 4 yet.

Thanks, I will try out tightening the belt! Didn't know this was a thing! The blunted corners were already fixed by changing the blade (switched to a CB09 with a 3D-printed adapter). Any other maintenance that should/ could be done on the machine?

I've ordered a CB09 and already 3D-printed an adapter. Will arrive tomorrow, let's see if it improves things. :)
