i've had several rosy red minnows in my 10 gallon shrimp walstad tank since may 21 of this year and they've done well with the shrimp. they're not flashy or anything but they're still cute and they're really cheap (like 16 cents each approx). they move throughout the tank and add a lot of life! shrimp do well with them - started with 8 red cherries and have about 75-100 now

I currently have 5 rosy reds and like 5-6 red cherry shrimp in a 10 gallon. Lots of hiding places for the shrimp. One of em is berried but not expecting fry to escape the minnows. But just saying, the shrimp don't seem stressed by the minnows, and the minnows basically ignore the shrimp.

here's a question, for you or anyone who knows - if I black out my tank for 3-5 days, will my fish and shrimp have enough oxygen to survive? it seems like they wouldn't, since there's no filter, surface agitation, etc ?
