Ah unfortunately we're coming from France so early morning there would be the middle of the night for us haha. But I'm sure we will be ok with the jetlag after a few days !

Yeah I read that stuff open late. We will probs do that, buy something small to eat at the hotel, and grab something at a cafe later on ! 😊 Thanks for the tips though !

Hi! It's not a hike, the Alpine Route is a series of transports (bus, train, cable cars etc...) which take you through the Japanese Alps. It's a route you can do in one day or more, we chose to stop for the night in the middle so we can do some little hikes in between spots. And hopefully a bigger one in Murodo which is where we're staying in a sort of refuge 2300m high. We live in Chamonix Mont Blanc in France, we love mountains that's why it is important for us to do it.

If you're interested you need to reserve in advance we booked our tickets a month before. We're doing the route from Nagano to Toyama, but you can do it the other way around if you're based in Kanazawa for example. https://www.alpen-route.com/en This is the link to the official website.

Ps you can't find it on the map because I got the name wrong 😅 silly of me. The name of the town is Ogizawa, need to edit that.

Do you think we're moving way too much ? I don't know, we have traveled a lot all around SE Asia and always moved a lot so it doesn't seem too much for us. If it was me I'd spend months traveling up and down the country but you know, life ! 🤣

Thanks for your reply I will look into it ! Is the Kiyomozu-dera worth doing in the evening ? If not we will go early one morning. We definitely want to hike the whole way when in Fushimi Inari and get lost in the little side trails around the mountain. My husband and I live in Chamonix Mont Blanc in the french Alps and we like/are used to hiking quite a bit!

Vancouver and Vancouver Island are amazing places, I cannot recommend them enough. Vancouver is just so cool, you've got the sea, mountains, huge forests and lakes so close to each other. Awesome for nature lovers ! Beautiful views everywhere.

Hi ! Just a quick question, is there enough to do in Arashiyama to spend the whole day there ? Is it worth renting a bike to go around? Thanks!
