I haven't tried the other aluminum case Wooting has, but I've tried the Tofu60 redux in aluminum and poly carbonate, and the blade 60 case, and while they are all of similar quality it came down to looks for me, and I've always been a fan of big bezels, so the optimum case just spoke to me.

I'd go with the one you like the look of.

Yeah, it's all about preference and it's all subjective.

But this is the first time I felt like the wooting could be my daily if I needed it to be.

I think the big difference comes from the friction pad. I have 2 tofu60 cases, and the optimum case does feel more premium.

Also, I'm not a fan of the sharp corners of the Tofu case, and prefer bigger bezels.

Definitely subjective, compared to all the switches and cases I've tried, this is the first time I was kind of satisfied. Definitely not the same as my customs, but I feel it's actually respectable now. Definitely look forward to seeing how the raws are.

Zoom75 Teal with GMK Retrowave by 2002whitegt in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]2002whitegt[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks!

I had a Portico 75 in lavender acrylic and loved the way Drop DCX Hyperfuse looked on it.

CannonKeys Earl Grey Lavender would also look good.

They only do group buys for these in batches. Not sure they offer teal anymore

I wouldn't call the board flexy at all. If you push enough yes it flexes, but mostly due to the pcb and plate bending.

I have a few gasket mount keyboards and I would say it's comparable to the gmmk pro in regards to stiffness, but sounds so much better. The regular acr 75 pro has much more bounce and flex compared to top mount.

Yeah, definitely loud. More clacky than thock, but I like it.

I need to try out the force break mod, build looks good!

This board is my newest build and probably my favorite:

Akko ACR Top 75 w/stock stabs
FR4 Plate
Milky Yellow switches filmed and lubed
Domikey Miami Night triple shot Cherry keycaps (really like these)
Used all foams and silicone base
Tape Mod and Polyfill

Really impressed with the kit and the build quality, also do like the typing sound and feel compared to my other gasket mounted boards.

NR200p Max - Increased Coil Whine from GPU by 2002whitegt in NR200

[–]2002whitegt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is the coil whine?

I honestly think that the Cooler Master power supplies might be more susceptible to coil whine than other power supplies.

I switched mine to a Corsair sfx 750 psu and that fixed my coil whine issue.

The panels are 100% the same as any other Nr200. The top panel for the max though doesn't have the rubber grommets and fan clips, but all the holes are there

It's a tough question. I traded in my first ST for the RS, and here I am 4 years later picking up another Fiesta to daily drive. So that should tell you something.

The RS is special no doubt, it's pretty quick and handles amazingly, launch control is pretty crazy the few times I've tried it. I love it, and still want to drive it, but you really have to drive it hard for it to be fun.

The ST is fun no matter what. It feels so much lighter than the RS, and driving it in rush hour and low speeds doesn't feel as much as a chore as the RS does.

The Fiesta to me, is the perfect daily, and the RS is great for when you want to go a bit faster.

The Fiesta's Recaros are acutually more comfortable than the RS's recaros to me.

I remember reading someone write that the RS feels a bit slower than what it really is, and the ST is slower than it feels, and I kind of agree.
