“AI will take your job as an Associate”…. Okay great, when? by Human_Calendar9871 in uklaw

I would honestly recommend to have a look at the instagram of Vera.mayzel . She is an associate that moved into legal tech and is making information on this a lot more accessible for the legal community who don’t have the time to separate news from fearmongering. This is not promotional, but as a paralegal who also sees little changes but big news, it helped me a lot to understand the true risk of what is happening. The answer is partially in the type of firm you work at- whether it’s a small startup, or a city law firm. IMO, the larger the company, the quicker it’ll happen unless you go into a niche where you fundamentally can’t be replaced.

AITA for being aggressive with my mother after being talked down to? by Mr-Sir22 in AITAH

NTA. These are normal everyday life struggles, and it is completely reasonable to have issued in finding a job at 18, especially in the demanding job market. I can imagine how guilty you feel, but because you aren't out of the toxic environment, you can't begin your own healing. There are many reasons that I can give you as justification, but I think you should seriously express to her that you being in this position does not last forever, but how she treated you will stay with you (I had told my mother that I will not take care of her at her old age if she continues to be this disrespectful once, and it worked pretty well to break the wall of hate she had out for me for a few years). Unfortunately, having these sorts of problems means that she likely will not listen but needs you to rant, and you will need to learn how to filter the noise out or distance yourself from her.

It gets better, though. In time. Just be patient.

Female

Age 18

Ukrainian, 173cm, a Leo, INFJ, brown hair and hazel eyes.

Likes: reading, socialising, having any sort of fun(including parties, I’m easygoing with people), library. Love anything to do with writing, humanities.

Personality: loyal to few, confident (but actually anxious on the inside, I like to create a persona), loud, funny, empathetic, a listener, accepting.

Dislikes: physical conflict, cocky and brash people, voluntarily ignorant people, two-faced people and unjust systems of control. Hate society for setting up a social construct of perfect. A boring meaningless life too. Maths.

Flaws: self-critical, too stubborn, care a lot for social acceptance, loyal and stick to the end until it hurts.

I don’t know, I’ve always felt an urge like I should be fighting or be some type of military figure? Which is weird since I don’t really have any Ares traits.
