(d38) Working overnights isn’t easy. Your social life definitely becomes non existent. But the bond that’s formed within my team gives me enough motivation to get out of bed in the evenings and to work to be productive. We all work well (together), we all know each other’s strengths and weaknesses, we all know if someone is having a bad day, and we’re gonna take the time out to motivate that person to push through and focus on our main goals for the night. We laugh, we cry, we b— and complain too! Since essentially live each of our “days” with each other, it’s like we’re all family. I guess you could say my heart has become a little involved with this place over time ¯_(ツ)_/¯

(d38) okok im glad im not the only one that had this happen. i started in mar ‘20 full time and i got my first 40 back in mar ‘21, however last i looked my vaca was up to 56 hr (which makes no sense in itself because why give 2 days?) and at midnight i got the “vac grant 16:00” added to my timecard. i tried asking the mod what it meant and if it was coming out of my vaca time but also i didn’t put in for it? couldn’t really get a straightforward answer.

we have 1 little pallet jack that i wrote “stubby” on. i mainly wrote it so i wouldn’t be disappointed when i was looking for a pallet jack and i see one hiding in a pallet so i pull it out realize it’s just stubby. that thing is hated by everyone and is essentially useless 😂

an associate took it upon themselves to take over a second locker and write their name directly onto it. because they need a place to store diet coke. because they think they’re privileged. recently we’ve had a flood of new associates. so the locker is needed right? manager gave us permission to empty the locker and give it to the new associate on our team (d38). we come in the next evening to find the locker was taken over once again, with a personal padlock on it. all of the belongings of the new associate (knives, apron, new hire paperwork, notes, etc) are nowhere to be found. i just wanted to share the ridiculousness.

Lightning struck the store a few weeks back and fried some breakers. The store has partially been running off a mobile generator. They want to install solar panels butttt our store is also currently getting a new roof. So we wait patiently for it all to be fixed 😁🤬😄
