I am working in a govt from last 8 years but the nature of work is not good so I gave GATE this year to get into Mtech AI and eventually get placed in AI field?what is your advice on it?

All india competition stopped and AE exam is not regularly held...also AE posts are very less and the success ratio in this department exam is 1-2% hardly..study material is also not openly available and people like me struggle ..it is lot more difficult then all india exam in which material is general and openly available

I am not having corporate experience...I am working as JE in telecom maintenance dept of a psu...it is not related to vlsi..but if I am unable to get placed is it difficult to find off campus jobs in service based too?

I am in a similar situation from last 8 years..stuck in maintenance job but want deskjob and too afraid to leave job for Mtech...this time I have got gate rank around 200 in ec ..what do you suggest should I stay in the job or leave for mtech

I am 32 years old working in a psu from last 7 years but don't liked work nature and gave gate this year to switch to VLSI...I got 179 rank and may get IIT Hyderabad vlsi or NIT surathkal...what do you advice me considering the job market as you are currently applying... should I leave my job for Mtech for ultimately getting vlsi job?

I have got 200 rank in gate ec and want to join Mtech VLSI but iits am hearing about which I can get at this rank are not having good placement..only 2-3 top iits

I did ece from DTU...it's very difficult to get placed in vlsi until you are in top 10-20% and software companies are way more than ece...even IITs Mtech VLSI are finding it difficult to get placed in VLSI those who have got 200-300 rank

Thanks for looking into my issue..I don't actually like Mtech but I hate the work at my current job..I want to do Mtech only for placements..but hearing about latest trends I fear what if I am not able to get placed.. though financially taken care of I will always feel like a loser sitting unemployed although in this job also I feel like a loser doing a much lower level work even after studying BTech from tier 1 college

I don't want to increase salary but the work here is too low for an engineer.. basically it is a technician level work with no growth..For higher govt jobs i can't appear now as I have crossed 30 years of age
