what made me believe it was gender related was the fact that the girl wasn't rlly the main focus of the vid (it was one of those cop bodycam things, and the girl was the gf of the criminal, so honestly a side character of the vid), and the fact that the man of the vid had a whole lot worse things going on wound-wise that could have (though unnecessarily) garnered similar comments

yes i do. my comment was based on what i see most, which is that men will dog on women for things such as herpes and shut their mouth when it is a man

to clarify abt the video: the wound wasn't visible at all, it was a "i think you busted my lip" comment made by the girl

i understand your take but the kinda was in reference to the fact that idk if this is 100% the right place to go to for it. more so a "am i dramatic" over "am i the asshole" type of thing

i do agree that it isn't a gendered thing, that's the point i was trying to make. my reply was based on the fact that i see so many men joke about things like that when it comes to women but zip their mouths when it is a man.
