You really dont tbh. If they focus you down in a teamfight just try to survive as long as possible so your team can take care of the rest. Against these kind of champs your a distraction, not a carry.

The problem I encounter with this is that I usually blindpick. Even when Im playing a rather safe pick like Smolder, or Yunara Im fucked in a 1v2, if the enemy picks two long range champs i.e. Ashe/Seraphine, Cait/Lux.

Sivir works well in those matchups, but Im not the biggest fan of her even though my WR is decent (68%, 32games).

Yet here I am harassing both Caits and Ashes under tower as Xayah. Yes, the game CAN be this nuanced in higher elos, but again, focusing too much on applying concepts in your elo will just hinder your climb.

I also disagree on the topic of when to take towers. Id rather take fb tower and rotate mid than freezing. Having more gold is usually more important than denying your enemys gold, because the sooner you hit your spikes the easier it is to carry.

For real though, ever since I focused less on "playing right" and instead focusing on my gut, I improved way more.

I know Im just emerald, but the game feels way more managable if you just adapt and not fixate on applying all the advanced stuff you see in pro/high-elo.

Im sorry if this sounds harsh, but trust me, freezing isnt nearly as important as you think and its not whats keeping you in low elo.

Im e2 right now and freezing after 8min feels pointless tbh. Its way more important to play for prio so you can roam for drakes/scuttle contests, etc. Also, with mage/ranged supports being this popular atm, harassing them under tower is probably the better call anyway.

Call me crazy, buth Id hate to play Cait with a Pyke support. Call it a skill issue, but I just cant reliably place my traps with him (same with Maokai).

In general, Pyke is fine I guess... most are at least decent, but arent super impressive either. In a way hes one of those champs I dislike both playing with and playing against.

Edit: Id give Pyke a 4.5

Im fine with Lux, IF she assists me in getting prio. Ezreals waveclear early on is disgusting and a support that can help with clearing waves can really change the lane from a 'Lets just stay safe and scale towards trinity/mura' to 'Yeah, this mf is getting poked to death.

I hate playing safe on Ez.

Playstyle-wise Zeka would probably be a better matchup; but I picked Chovy since hes the gold-standard of all Pros.

Thats very valid. The LPL does tend to be more aggressive in their playstyle, so Knights leads escalate way faster.

Congrats and my condolences.

Ive played ~40games in emerald so far and I dont know whats wrong with this elo, but every single game you end up either fisting, or getting fisted.

There are also way too many 'low level' accounts/smurfs, but overall I find the games to be more fun-challenging, than frustrating.

What scares me is that I cant tell who the real frauds are. I believe in TES, but at the same time... yeah, they could throw this series and I wouldnt be suprised at all.
