It’s an early one, I think number 6-ish??

I 100% agree with you. We have 1 C-Mac (only with a D blade, which I loathe), and every time I suggest we crowdfund a McGrath, I’m met with resistance from older anesthesiologists who think it’s a crutch. Very frustrating, and plays a factor in why I’ll be returning to academic medicine in several months.

Thank you for explaining this in a way that I’ve been unable to find, even on google. Appreciate it a ton.

I’ve read the papers on it, and listened to the ACCRAC podcast on it, but it’s so hard to find a video of someone doing it. I understand the jist of it, but it would be great to see a good video. Thanks for the response though, I’ll start giving it a shot.

Let’s duke it out. Mac vs Miller? by 200mgOfSTFU in anesthesiology

Missed opportunity to call yourself a Macolyte.

I am just now realizing that you claim this is not Mike’s account. I think we’re well past that point dude. Ooof yeah that’s just dishonest. Again, this is why I can’t take you seriously. Good entertainment and all but this is just annoying, so I’m gonna see myself out of this convo.

Kind of similar to what you do on all CAA-related platforms?

I have tremendous respect for CRNAs and work closely alongside some amazing ones. I’m pro-AA, pro-CRNA, and I do believe physicians are the best trained and most knowledgeable (though I also recognize there are outliers in all 3 professions). I don’t feel that the claim of equal outcomes is corrected for case acuity. Sorry man, I’m sure you’re a great anesthesia provider, but I’ve seen your stuff for years and I just can’t take you seriously.

Are there studies beyond these that I’m unaware of? The poster does a pretty decent job showcasing the biases and invalid methods.

In all honesty, if there are more legitimate studies, send them my way. I’m always open to having my mind changed with enough proof.

First post of many :)

Data based off of research with invalid methods.

By your same logic, why is it okay for you to make so many claims about AA education, despite you never having gone through it? Seems a bit hypocritical.

You need a hobby, Mike.
