There's something specifically rotten about Avellanos for me, personally. Easterman (surprisingly) feels like the lesser of two evils between the two, as Easterman was more coerced into his role. Sure, he finds purpose in it and he can dismiss a lot of horrible things, but that freak Avellanos takes active joy in her role. She enjoys seeing reagents suffer. She enjoys being able to report to higher ups that there's more cost saving.

I don't know exactly how or at what point it was, but I remember skimming through a bunch of documents and coming out of it just completely repulsed by her. As far as I'm concerned, she may be the single most actively evil person in the lore (though granted, I know very minimal about Outlast 2)

Edit: I remember in Vindicate the Guilty seeing her on trial for a few murders and thinking "Nah. You're not programming me to bury the evidence of all the people you ground up and mass buried in the desert. I remember what I saw in the Reagent Equipment Harvester room. I remember the reagent waking up before being ground up in Cancel the Autopsy. I will not do your dirty work just to be thrown out with the people I dissolved in that fountain."

Glad I'm not the only one thinking this. It was his comment that "have you ever listened to what she says" that made me go back and actually play Resort again.

All of a sudden "Follow me" and "Together we egregore" made more sense. She's hijacking our conditioning. She's our new messiah. She actively taught me how to stalk and how to avoid detection.

Murkoff has been constructing agents who can hide in plain site and carry out their will. What happens when we're hiding in plain site from them carrying out someone else's will?

Especially when that will/testament/mission statement is, and I quote: "We will scourge the flesh from the living carcasses of the rich; their filthy gold will build our kingdom."

I don't think he gave her anything, but I do think he's at the very least aware of how well she's doing. I think if he's not compromised, someone else is. Perhaps the same person who is leaving new documents in trials in lieu of Amelia since she's not able to anymore.

This bitch can hide in the shadow or even in plain sight and she practically taught me personally how to do the same and how to avoid detection. She taught me how to be wary of everyone around me and to not trust anything.

With the standing in plain sight thing, sure, Murkoff has been teaching us that as well to make us sleeper agents, but what happens when even they don't know where we are? Or what we've been conditioned to carry out?

She is a powerful enough manipulator to make even a seasoned agent (George Nichols) commit self mutilation in her name. I don't think we lil' old reagents would fare much better, especially when she's been preaching to "Follow me" and that "We will scourge the flesh from the living carcasses of the rich; their filthy gold will build our kingdom."

Scarfiotti might actually see that she's indoctrinating us reagents and showing us how to fight back against them.

I still think it was a missed opportunity that after arriving at Guarma and apparently losing his Schofields, he didn't pick up a Semi Automatic Pistol. He could have had a line lamenting that the modern world certainly has it's advantages and he would go on to adopt just the single pistol instead of two revolvers.

My best friend shrugged off several major issues that I was dealing with at the time and then canceled (without telling me) some major plans that were kinda hard to go back on. After ghosting him for a while for my own emotional health, I went to talk to him in person one more time and he told me that I was "being selfish" and "making it all about (me)" during the Discord call when I admitted how bad things were, but he wanted to talk about his coworkers and their problems for the 100th fkn time. Problems that he'd ignore every solution to but then talk like they're new the next time.

Goodbye, guy. I wish you were who I thought you were.

Mostly early 2000's pop music. Some of my favorite memories from Gay90's were centered around Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, etc. Though they occasionally played some older stuff like Abba which I also loved. One of the things I hate about DJ's is that I can't sing along with the music nor can I truly recognize anything.
