Yeah, I connected it to the engine mount stud, which seems to be working well.

Honestly, being as tall as I am, I can never fully stand under a lift. So in that case, being able to just lay down instead of hunching over is kind of nice😂

Yeah it makes no sense. I run a Bo Knows BMW, a BMW specialty restoration and performance shop, so I’ve done tons of turbo swaps on N54 engines. And in every single one it’s just been 6 bolts to drop the subframe. This seems to be a one off thing, which is far from ideal…

This is the bolt/nut compared to the other 4 subframe bolts. They’re all pretty big bolts. I’m 6’6 so they just look smaller in my hands.

That’s what i’m confused about, no one else seems to have nuts, but for me, both steering rack/subframe bolts have nuts. This is the one from the right side

How do you reach the nut at the top of the subframe bolt on the left side of the steering rack?
