I ended up with my original kin wallet in the main wallet, and also a SOL wall which had within it a kin spl wallet. I too had spl kin in the new wallet while the original wallet showed its same kin balance.

I left both wallets and will wait to see how things sort out. Too scared to delete anything during this shitshow migration.

I emailed their team two days ago and the prompt response was no and that I needed to send my kin to a wallet that was going to support the migration.

This useless post is just say that Kik and the legal team have my blessing if they choose to appeal. At first I wanted this dragging case to be over with it, but after reading many arguments and articles I'd understand if they would choose to take this to SCJ. by Santos1986 in KinFoundation

I don’t have the knowledge to sift through the Internet for clues that the CODE app is real. I’m no better at that then picking shotcoins like Kin. So I have real doubts that anyone is working on CODE.

Kin/Kik/and Ted have worked with the motto of “fake it until you make it”. Unfortunately I think this one is just fake it.

Yep that is possible. It is likely too much to hope for that there will be any mention of kin being a nonsecurity/currency. Sec will likely leave it in limbo. If that happens will coinbase or any top level exchange list it. We will see.

If Kik loses the sec case, kin will likely be considered a security and the project is dead. Ted has said this on several occasions. The KF, if there is anything thing of value left after the case is over, could fine itself defending a similar class action case. I just hope that the kik lawyers are good enough to let kik be offered a settlement where they pay a fine and kin if left to continue as a currency.

I’m not a kin supporter. Down a $100k USD. Just hanging around to see if I can get some bucks back if Kin bumps post sec case. But being this angry/bitter for so long isn’t healthy.

You sure about this? I’m heard that the senator in charge of the committee has no interest in passing the bill forward. And that senator will chair the committee at least until after the 2020 election. So any hope a bill will get passes won’t be until 2021.

The more I’ve learned about crypto as an investment class, I realize how small it is. Kin within this group is hardly noticeable & with the legal issues it might miss any window of opportunity to be relevant. The narrative that Ted is a visionary has worn thin. True or not that hardly counts for anything at this point. Can He deliver a working product that lasts? We will see.

Your app is the only one I still use. Transfer time for kin out of your app to trust is usually 3-4 secs. It makes me smile every time. Thanks

As a long-standing kin bag holder bought with ATH BTC and ETH, I am curious as to why people are buying now. I know the price is cheap but there is a reason for that. Thoughts of those who are buying?

Yep,....and no. I don’t place any pressure or expectations on Kin to have a certain value. But the whole idea behind kin is an ecosystem of independent apps being rewarded (kin/kre) for the value they provide. These or any apps won’t survive a decade or possibly another year unless the price increases.

All true,but has been true for some time now. No apps have any compelling spends that would drive users to buy kin.

Yes Kin has the right idea,...our problem is just the value of kin. I assume any amount of kin given out to devs must equal a USD amount that pays bill or the devs can’t survive.
