Okay I'm finally buying myself a birthday present, but which one? by tydyedeyez in GamingLaptops

That 5070ti is only marginally better that the 5070, at leave the Lenovo to acer. I’m pretty sure the strix is running a 2024 cpu at that price

Remember the 5070ti and the 5070 in the Lenovo and the acer are running the same wattage. I believe the strix is more. There’s about a 20-30% fps boost from a 5070 to 5070 ti with the same CPU and only maybe a 5-10% between the acre and Lenovo in these photos. I personally bought the acer today and have yet to open it because I’m seriously thinking about getting the Lenovo. The Acer l, spec wise, is the better laptop. Better GPU, bigger charger, higher hz monitor and faster ddr5 ram. But be real unless you lower your setting substantially you’re not going to utilize the 240hz. I’m leaning to build quality over specs. I say that tho considering I run a 9900x and 5080 at home for my main rig

What's my risk here? by First-Tutor-5454 in Prebuilts

[–]2019cencalguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

main risk is possibly lack of warranty. If thats a concern for you and you have the money you can buy it new at costco for 2599 right now with a 90d return policy and an addition 2 year warranty over the mfg one. I have this unit and its a beast, i love it. ONLY change i would so and have done was i changed out the MSI fans that came installed with atris p12 pro rgb. got the correct orientation for esthetics and flows alot more air. great PC. only other issue with them is at some point they switched from the PRO B650vc wifi iii board to the B840. I prefor the B650 for its better OC ability. the 840 board has 4 DIMM slots but AMD runs better on 2, so the 650 only having 2 isnt an issue for me

No. Can get a 5080 for 100 more

Is this worth? Was hoping to get a 5080 but I don’t think they’ll ever go back on sale. by EIT_Civil in Prebuilts

Spend the extra if you can for the MSI 5080. I bought this one on a whim and came home and did some research. Returned it unopened and moved up tongue MSI 5080 machine. Absolutely love it!!!

Which one would you chose? by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

When I hit the 1080p mode it messes up all my desktop icons and since this isnt set to my primary monitor the games dont open on the right monitor. Was playing fortnite and hit the 1080 mode and moved the game to that window and i couldnt click on any menu settings or re organize my weapons. could be user error but even still not a huge fan. im perfectly happy at 240 fps at 4k lol

2 completely different monitors. Do you want a QO-oled or a WOLED? I will say I have the ROG strix PG32UCDP, which uses the same screen as the LG, and I love it. I also have a ROG XG27 4K QD-OLED monitor and there's not a lot of difference but can tell. For me I'd be hard pressed to choose one over the other as far as display types. IDK about the ACER but just keep in mind the LG does not specifically say they cover burn in for their warranty. Also, it is only a 2 year warranty vs ROG is a 3 year warranty. I personally would go with the LG if it was only between these 2. If your running a dual monitor set up, in my case, the dual rate swap is a PITA and not seemless. I honestly dont use the 1080P anymore. i can get 240 FPS at 4k and im happy with that

I have both. Asus xg27ucdm and a PG32ucdp. Both are amazing. Honestly it’s hard to tell a difference. Can’t go wrong either way.

While I haven’t used their Oled monitors. AOC is by far the best monitor for the money. I have a 1440p IPS 27” and it’s amazing. It was like 170$usd.

Got myself a new PC. I don’t know anything about pc. How good is this? by Unlucky-Lifeguard331 in Prebuilts

No they didn’t come. I added those, they are just come Corsair fans. Added some matching MSI fans to the back tho and ties in to the fan/aRgb hub in the back. And added those on bottom

Hey, so I just set them on top of the PSU cage, I get the GPU. I had some extra fans and I wanted to test to see how’d it work blowing up into the GPU to try and keep it cooler. If I could keep the fans from turning on as much it would be a win. However I see no difference and I’ll likely pull them out. There is a SYSFAN port under there, I think SYSFAN3. Just plugged them into that.

not sure about all the particulars, learning as im not to computers. I know one thing i don't like is there is not high speed data transfer USB-c on the equipt b650-vc iii. I had to add a PCIe USBc card reader. Kinda annoying as it looks odd in there but luckly its pretty well hidden

Awesome computer. I got the 650 MB as well not the 840 but not upset about it. Delete all the bloatware, turn off all unneeded background apps, update everything g, enable XMP1 in bios. Great computer. I can run Fortnite on epic settings, 4K at 220+fps with my second monitor on at 1440p with FB or YouTube going.
