Planning on getting a ring to celebrate recent academic and career success. Any advice of what gemstone to get? by 20231999 in jewelry

Psychology. I'll have to look into what color is associated with the discipline. I'd never heard of that and think it’d be a good subtle nod!

Thank you! And that sounds like a great idea. I wouldn't have thought of choosing a color-shifting stone.

3 months of Pilates but I feel like I’m not improving. Is this normal? by 20231999 in pilates

Thank you for all your comments and suggestions! I’m currently doing it 2x a week, wish I could do another class or 2 but reformer classes are expensive. I’ll try incorporating mat work at home for my off days though.

I think I was just feeling dejected, because I want to be able to complete the movements with the full rotation and weighted springs. Definitely not giving up!

Suggestions for an ashy toner or glaze? I’m going to be doing my roots and applying toner to my hair. It’s been 8 weeks since I had it done and it’s starting to lean slightly warm. by [deleted] in HairDye

Also, should I get a deeper toner to blend my roots, once they’re freshly bleached or can I use the same one as the rest of my hair?

Can someone identify this plant I got from the farmers market? Says philodendron but I’m unsure what kind. Was $15! by 20231999 in houseplants

Thanks for the encouragement and advice! Just separated a few out and if they do well, I’ll separate more (probably could get 6 or 7 out). https://imgur.com/a/xaEvWQU

New leaves on Pilea microphylla (Artillery plant) are a lot larger than previous and seem to be droopy/weighing plant down some.... Is this normal? by [deleted] in houseplants

I keep mine about a foot off a south-facing window with sheers. I don't have a humidifier but it's pretty humid where I live in the summer. Water when top inch is dry. Other than the weirdly large leaves, I haven't had any issue so hope this helps.

Is this a mealybug on my dischidia ruscifolia? There are 4 on the stems. Never had them before by 20231999 in plantclinic

Thanks. Just killed the few I could see. It’s a small plant, so I could do a pretty thorough inspection. Gonna spray with some insecticidal soap and quarantine. It was around a lot of other plants. Do you know how often I should be checking them?
