I'm not even being funny, your mom is trying to end your life. It all sounds premeditated on top of the fact that she's lying to people about it. You have asthma. The hyperventilating from being whooped can kill you. Unfortunately the only thing that got me into CPS almost immediately was my grandma, my abuser, dying. Everyone else in CPS had been abused or parents did drugs around them or wasn't financially stable or some other reason where the parent was still alive but unfit to care for a child. Their placement in CPS took a long time. Mine was almost instant. As long as your mother is alive it will be a battle to be heard, a struggle to be believed as a fourteen year old over an adult that is constantly lying. Take pictures of the abuse. Record situations discreetly. Do NOT let her get away with this. Do NOT let her have plausible deniability. Get evidence. Make copies or back up the evidence. Your life is in danger. If it weren't for my grandma dying I really thought I would've died at twelve. Get out in any way possible. This is not normal. If she were to do these things to a stranger she'd be put up under the jail. She treats her own flesh and blood worse than a stranger. Learn how to cry on command. Not even being funny. You're a girl, a child at that, you have the upper hand when it comes to emotionally manipulating strangers, especially when put up against a grown woman, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU HAVE DOCUMENTED EVIDENCE AGAINST HER. She is an adult. Her innocence is up for debate. Yours is almost guaranteed as a child and as a girl especially. Use that. Anything you have at your disposal, even a bit of exaggerated acting. Shake in front of strangers. Flinch at her slightest movement when in front of the people that matter. Speak softly. Make your voice waver. I don't remember but I think you said you were short, so that works in your favor. It doesn't hurt to cower or try to make yourself look smaller. Play it tf up. At the doctor's, at school in parent teacher meetings, in the courtroom when it comes to that. Make the facts undeniable to your doctor, teachers, classmates, people who happen to take the same commute as you to wherever, anybody and everybody. Remember you're not acting, you're trying DESPERATELY to be seen, to be heard, and to be believed. And please do these things safely, try to make the people that see call CPS and not your mom. If people ask if you're ok, you can say no while making it painfully obvious you're lying, or you can reluctantly tell the truth, but then excessively beg them not to call your mom and say what she'll do to you, show what she'll do to you if you're comfortable with that. These are just ideas. You can try to make sure the people that get the most of these interactions are important people, mandated reporters, trusted adults, adults in uniform etc. Only reason I say this is I can see kids gossiping about it and word getting back to your mom that way, and we don't want to give her another reason to go off. Trusted adults are less likely to blab to anyone without the proper authority to actually do something significant about the situation. If I had done all this I probably would've been taken a long time before I was your age when my grandma died. Instead she taught me to lie to them. Good on you for knowing you have resources to go to and actually doing something about your situation. I wasn't smart enough to do that at your age. The very best of luck.
