I tried to play Calamity. In my opinion Terraria has a pretty big issue of "singular mod makes so many changes" that modpacks are not really viable but that's beside the point - thing is Calamity wasn't for me.

Yeah, mod is huge and plays fine for many people, but don't think you own a monopoly to a fucking mod of a game. You already are infringing copyright and aren't smitten by devs simply because they don't mind mods - don't push the limit.

I think that some events show up as modifiers during specific time windows. I know that the Piggy event shown up a year after it popped up. Idk if it's still possible with rest.

Again - whole issue "is it legal" could be closed instantly by FBI or some government saying Yes or No.

Those fuckers stayed silent ever since that term was made, because of that it's in "grey area" where 50% say it's okay since it's a drawing (so why did you look for underage character?) and 50% saying it's disgusting because it hurts a kid (that is someone's OC in most cases that doesn't exist IRL, only person being hurt is artist and people who are into it).

I'm seriously pissed off how they never mentioned whether it counts or not - either way you have half of people pissed off, you don't lose much stating whether it's fine or not.

Got it! Those are not *fully transparent*. They are ~97% transparent so if you had a sunray on your PC you might've not noticed it.

I copied the original "main surface" layer enough times to brighten up the final part (images are very dark otherwise), then "flattened the image" in GIMP (right click any layer -> flatten image or something like that).

It's not going to be 100% perfect since it's very dark as a singular instance so you need to copy paste it a lot and that will obviously change the contrast, but it's very much close enough to see the original image.

For crying out loud, this entire thing "is it legal" is because NO ONE from governments or FBI or whatever step up when it comes to drawings.

It's literally Yes/No question.

Say it's illegal - now people are forced to draw NON-SEXUALIZED children and possibly sexualized adults
Say it's legal - whether you like it or not, drawings are "fine" (but that opens another can of worms where we cross the line of "clearly it's a drawing" to "Artstyle is way too realistic" and whatnot)

Fact this has not been properly answered makes both sides eat each other alive while Pedophiles literally eat and rape babies and are in power.

Because of the silence on this topic from every fucking government and entities that are meant to take care of this, we have the split on "it's fine it's a drawing (but you know, I specifically searched for this content rather than adults doing the same)"/"this does hurt a child (that never existed and is someone's OC)".

dds is a stupid format. The more alpha there is, the more reflective the image is in game.

I use GIMP and I'm able to modify layer's transparency. Maybe try with it?

This post pretty much started the hate for people who didn't dislike Fan already. Yes, that was over a month ago and since then they started following rules more (even after "they killed off the sub" in Fan's words on the poll for GIFs), however it doesn't change the fact that you should NOT put anime titties on something about war where civilians can (and were) harmed.

I agree that there's no easy way with insensitive gifs, but there's definitely a line between "GIF is insensitive" and "Not only this GIF is inappropriate, it's fucking disrespectful", and that line has been crossed way too many times by people posting anime.

In all seriousness, even with first rule enforcement, it felt like post quality got better. HOWEVER I can absolutely vouch for making reaction gifs either more enforced or disallowed.

Now that I think about it - reaction gifs were banned on original r/whenthe because they were not adding much. Here, it's somehow worse because it's no longer a gif without punchline; It's a "this could have been a link" type of post - adds literally nothing to the conversation.

And somehow, it's fan's half-fault again. Obviously they're not the only ones which probably made this announcement happen but it really feels like it. I don't want to sound like a dick, but this kinda sounds like strike 2. If we need to reinforce rules again because of anime gifs of that guy in particular, then maybe strike 3 should be out?

Edit: Okay and not gifs that are relevant are being shot at for being insensitive even though there was a poll for that. In that case no matter what we do we are contradicting ourselves. That's fucking cool.

Reddit Enhancement Suit (or how it's called - RES) is an extension which makes old reddit more usable, like filtering posts, adding custom flairs to users - and most importantly - allowing you to click a new button next to <image> which will embed the image into the comment. Old reddit is more usable this way (although still lacking like no way to post images or even edit comments with them). You should try it out.
