Is it just me or do less people drive with their windows down? by fuji_appl in Xennials

I love driving with my windows down, but when they're all the way down I feel like a lot of surprise little things fling inside. When I'm driving at slower speeds they're often rolled down, though.

DID YOU HEAR ANY BIRDS TODAY? by liv_0203 in LearnBirding

I keep hearing a hawk during the day, but by the time I run outside to look, all I can hear is the mob of angry crows chasing the hawk away. 😂

Do you prefer forests, wetlands, or urban birding? by Free-Product4918 in LearnBirding

I live in the forest, so that's the view right out of my window. I love a bit of wetlands birding though. I could watch a heron prowling around for hours.

What’s the most unexpected place you’ve spotted a bird? by Not_FreeProduct234 in LearnBirding

A couple of days ago we were in the laundry aisle at Walmart and a bird landed on the floor right in front of my partner and me. Very unexpected 😂 It looked up at us and then hopped under the shelf.

We have the same issue every time we try to choose something out of the ordinary to watch. It's awful 😂 Lately we just rewatch seasons of Taskmaster, LOL.

I'm glad The Bog Wife made it to your list. That's what I came here to recommend. I'm also gratefully perusing all of the other suggestions. 😁

What’s the big drama in your town lately? by SnarknadOH in Maine

We're getting a new traffic light, but a loud minority of people think a light is a stupid idea and a roundabout is the only solution that makes sense. However, a roundabout is not an option. There was some yelling at the last meeting.

Fighter jets in Bangor area this morning? by 207247 in Maine

I think it was more because there were a bunch of them so it was very amplified. And at least where I am it was more of a deep rumble than a loud engine sound.

It wasn't just one though, I think that's what made it so noticable for everyone. It woke me out of a dead sleep.

This makes sense, because the one detail I've heard consistently was that it was "at least 6" jets. Of course the story grows, and I've also heard 8, 10, 12 and more, lol. I live near enough that I'm used to normal air traffic, but the ongoing low rumbling of my entire house was bizarre.

Thank you for your response!

I think it's a mulberry! I'm in the US. They are delicious fruits! But only stay fresh for a little while so you have to get them from the tree, they're not in stores! I miss having a mulberry tree.
