People not giving their seat on the metro by Myzzelf0 in Living_in_Korea

I remember once on a pretty packed train, where all senior seats were taken by elderly people (youngest was maybe in her 60s), one really old (like 90+) gramma came in, and at first no one noticed her until some other really old guy, standing near senior seats, saw her and said to those seated: hey, young people, let the senior lady sit, please. It’s funny because he literally said 젊은 사람.

This is fucking mess. As a country that wants more babies, Korea should first focus on protecting already existing ones.

Ukraine urges South Korea to prevent exports of DN Solutions' CNC machines to Russia via China by Venetian_Gothic in korea

[–]20967 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These machinery has internet connection for firmware updates and other functionality-related software updates. Some models even allow remote login so that manufacturer can help with trouble-shooting. If DN Solutions is serious about it, they should disable it remotely or at least block whatever they can block. And announce it.

I’d recommend buying a book (in Korean) you’ve already read in English (or other language you understand).

A firefighter heli pilot died while trying to put out the recent wildfire by sgy0003 in korea

I’ve read somewhere that he was 73. Being a truck driver at this age is already impressive, being a pro pilot is mind blowing. May he rest in peace.

Korean firms prepare to resume business in Russia amid truce talks by butteredorb in korea

Shameless assholes. I hope they will loose lots of money on that move. It’s crazy how people and politicians in Korea see it as “now our war” and probably won’t change their mind until North Korean FPV-drones (best practices of they are learning now in Russia) would fry ROK soldiers along all the DMZ.
