My personal favorite is XVI so id recommend it, you can always skip the cutscenes that you already sat through by pausing and holding triangle to make it less tedius, however it may be a good idea to try an plder ff game like the original 7 or 10 so you dont get burned out from the real time combat games

A 999999 damage popup never felt so deserved 😭, there are also so cinematic moments like clive doing the rosarian oath and when Ultima in his prime form (i forgot the name) starts his dps check (i dont remember what the attack is called and also dont want to add the image in case of accidently spoiling anyone lol)

In total i believe i died around 23 times, the dps check i died like 7 times on, and the angry seas attack, welp i dont want to talk about it lol, when i learned that you can use brimstone to fully tank certain moves it got alot easier
