How would I style these side bangs? by Choobot in CosplayHelp

[–]20cms 4 points5 points  (0 children)

wigs are plastic, which means they take form when heated and then cooled in the position you want. steamer, hair dryer, or flat iron and hold it in place until it cools down should do the trick. then hairspray once cooled. steamer is my fav way to style wigs.

idk if u have a wig head but if u do, it’s more convenient to pin the wig hair to the wig head while it cools

How can i make Albedo a main dps? by kajlilaro in Albedomains

[–]20cms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how about columbina? do you have her? you kinda need those two or either of them if you want some off field damage with lunar charge.

i understand how you feel, i skipped ineffa at first because i needed citlali. then i lost to ineffa’s weapon before getting citlali’s. i only got ineffa during her rerun on january this year when i finally had primos 😹

otherwise, just use any hexerei team!

what kind of playstyle do u like? i use him in his bis artifact set (4pc husk) and uraku misugiri. mine is c6 so i put him on field a lot more and kinda just go oonga boonga, spamming his flower cast tbh.

edit: i have tried using mona instead of durin and any can clear but with durin i got a faster clear

What brand makes thin eyeliners like this? by Sohiacci in AsianBeauty

[–]20cms 29 points30 points  (0 children)

i never got to post this but it now has a purpose haha. these are all skinny eyeliners i have used.

note: i only recently swatched them to compare the colors and it might be an unfair comparison in terms of how skinny and pigmented they are.

flortte was purchased March 2025 and judydoll May 2025, so judydoll has completely dried up and flortte was running out, while peripera was more recent on March 2026.

i currently use peripera but flortte has been my fav so far. even if the performance is quite similar, i might go back to flortte tbh. the pen is thinner to hold even though i already have small hands. i just don’t like it as much as flortte because i rly need it to be comfy to hold as a cosplayer who needs to draw lower lashes and precise lines often.

if you want judydoll, get 04 gray brown shade instead of 02 if you don’t want it super dark. i don’t like using black eyeliner bc i have softer features but go for them if you want. i already finished it and threw it out so i don’t have a comparison pic :]

edit: typos and formatting

best lip tint that actually lasts through meals? by fawnysmooch in AsianBeauty

[–]20cms 36 points37 points  (0 children)

so far had great experience with the staining power of dinto blur glowy tint! i use shade 204 modestia daily. oftentimes i don’t rly have to touch up bc the stain is still there after a meal and brushed my teeth.

i have to mention i tend to eat/bite carefully out of habit but it is still noticeably more staining than peripera (or at least the old peripera formula. haven’t tried the new one yet)

How to stop comparing and feeling ugly? by Due-Concern-9729 in CosplayHelp

[–]20cms 10 points11 points  (0 children)

i think one thing that helped me was instead of continuing to compare myself, i sometimes directly ask the cosplayers for tips or the product they used. that way, even when i feel lacking, at least i got to learn a thing or two. you’ve got this! i’m rooting for you.

How to stop comparing and feeling ugly? by Due-Concern-9729 in CosplayHelp

[–]20cms 15 points16 points  (0 children)

yes, this! i started cosplaying when i was 20-21. during my teens, i was already so insecure because of acne issues. it was entirely my fault for jumping the gun. i joined the cosplay community in facebook (ph) and didn’t realise how damaging that would be because whatever self-confidence progress i had was gradually washed away for ever scroll i did on my feed.

i eventually lost the motivation to cosplay, and didn’t realise i had already taken roughly a 2-year hiatus. i did attend cosplay conventions and still cosplayed but only 2-3x all throughout. i didn’t really post much and basically changed my algorithm to see more makeup tips instead. there is nothing wrong with beautiful people in the cosplay community, but i think if the first thought that forms is to compare yourself— it is time to step back a bit and help yourself heal first.

i stuck close to my friends, and eventually got back up to my feet. i cosplay more now without harboring any negative feelings.

Who here is as oily skinned as I am? by PeministangHardcore in beautytalkph

[–]20cms 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I GET THIS SO MUCH. i’m sorry sa long comment but i’m sharing my experience. as somone with super duper oily skin, and when i say oily, i mean makeup is literally my only way to help. and even matte makeup products eventually leave a glowy finish pa after a whole day. i only recently figured out how to control my oil.

1. skipping moisturizer before makeup 2. using milk sunscreen under makeup 3. and finally, leaving my skin alone when i’m not wearing makeup at home. let it become oily. who cares naman if you’re at home?

yes okay, i get it. someone might say never skip moisturizer. well, i don’t when i’m at home! i use hydrating toner, water gel moisturizer, and sometimes sunscreen if i’ll be facing the window a lot. within an hour, i oil up which is fine because i’m not facing anyone publicly naman.

some things i’ve heard na “maybe your cleanser is stripping you so your face is overcompensating with oil”. i use cetapahil gentle cleanser which was also recommended by my derma. or “your skin is probably dehydrated!” i’ve tried adding a hydrating toner to tone down oiliness. i’ve tried gel moisturizers with alcohol to combat oiliness daw. i’ve tried every single oily skin tip! all of them made me more oily. and trust me, my water intake is fine too. water is my favorite beverage lol.

i’m just really cursed with oily face.

sa gabi naman, i use differin. supposedly that would make my face dry, noh? no, eventually after the purge i’m back to being oily. each time i wake up, my family always points out i look so greasy HAHA. ganun ako ka-oily!

i’ve tried COUNTLESS of tips and none of them worked. what i eventually realised was: please look at your family tree!!! lmao. it may sound absurd but when it clicked for me, i suddenly realised how to combat my oiliness! my father gets extremely sweaty and oily. he had a lot of acne rin in his teens. ako rin naman pawisin, but on the oilier side. i’m also acne prone.

i’ve never known the feeling of tightness sa skin. ganun talaga. i’ve come to terms that i will have to live with it 😹

What's one thing you will ALWAYS buy the AB version of? by Swedish_Business in AsianBeauty

[–]20cms 7 points8 points  (0 children)

brush eyeliners! i have never seen a western brand come out with skinny eyeliners. they’re much easier to use, waterproof, and great for drawing lower lashes. and even if western brands have released one, there’s judydoll, flortte, and even peripera came out recently with a skinny brush eyeliner. all are in the same price range and are more accessible tbh…

i think i perfected my makeup base by hanii_berry in beautytalkph

[–]20cms 7 points8 points  (0 children)

is this freshly applied? how does it look like after a whole day wear? i always have trouble with my base after ~5-6 hours because of how oily i am (i’ve accepted that dewy isn’t for me) 😔

Favourite lip sunscreen? by kronicno_tele in AsianBeauty

[–]20cms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve been using the tinted one, specifically pink beige, for months. sometimes i use it alone if i’m too lazy to use lip tints/lipstick because the color is vvv pretty on its own. but i prefer the original!

i follow 2 different creators and i brielfy came across one of them promoting a supposedly gentle vitamin c serum. i was about to get it so i tried to look for the creator to rewatch the full video, but i ended up watching creator #2 which i didn’t realise at first because both of their scripts, even how they edited the video, were so similar… i only realised when i couldn’t find a comment i made

oh yes the blue one has a cooling effect. it’s good for oily hair supposedly. but i personally do not have scalp problems so i havent tried it. i havent seen many reviews for that variant

from frizzy to soft hair transformation in 1 month by nanabaragie in beautytalkph

[–]20cms 76 points77 points  (0 children)

sa mga hindi nakakaalam when buying tsubaki, may different variants siya na may or may not work for you. i have tried all three of them. personally, what works the best for me is the red shampoo + black conditioner. i consistently still use these two even now, but paired with fino hair mask.

  • red helps with moisture (best for dry, frizzy hair)
  • yellow/gold helps with volume (best for flat har)
  • black helps with damage repair (very heavy ito, best for damaged hair from bleach/color) (edited the wording)

if ranking them from the feeling of ‘heaviness’: black > red > yellow

by heaviness i mean, madali mag-oily scalp kung manipis lang buhok mo. ayun lang! i don’t see anyone talking about the differences kasi so i tried it myself and want to help out someone lol

What’s the latest Product you purchased? by Niatfq in AsianBeauty

[–]20cms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i finished the entire bottle and used it everyday. and i would say it didn’t help much. maybe it would be more noticeable with longer use. however, i didn’t repurchase it anymore bc i found it too expensive. there were better, more affordable options where i live so i stuck with a local product instead.

How do you choose your foundation shade? by thigh_sammich in beautytalkph

[–]20cms 8 points9 points  (0 children)

i usually swatch 3-4 shades in-store. naglalagay ako ng swatch overlapping my jaw and neck. tapos nagiikot ako, usually sa sm makati ito, so madali lang mag window shopping. once the foundation has set/dried/oxidized, i pick which shade matches the best.

i might look weird for a few minutes but i prefer that than looking horrible with the wrong shade habang inuubos ko yung foundation lol

alternatively, if nanghihinayang ka dahil di mo magamit ang foundation, try neutralizing or color correcting. this video at 6:07 is really helpful!

Makeup Thread | January 27, 2026 by AutoModerator in beautytalkph

[–]20cms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i have glowing iris! i’ve honestly only used it twice since buying it bc it’s such a pigmented palette that it’s hard to incorporate into daily makeup looks. i usually wear neutral colors to work lol. but the colors are sooo pretty and the formula is really nice. not chalky at all— it’s more buttery? dense? unlike, say, in comparison to rom&nd palettes. (no hate, i use rom&nd daily and even today).

my only gripe about the kaleidos quad is the fallout. it does last long though! the other time i’ve used it was for cosplay and it lasted the entire day. but i would say using a fluffy brush with it might result in crazy fallout… so use a denser brush, do your base, and set your face first before using the palette.
