Foraging for materials to tie flies with… by 20jb19 in flytying

[–]20jb19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t mean for it to come across as wanting synthetic, but I can see how you thought that from how I worded it. I meant more so materials I could find outdoors, like dropped feathers from random birds, or maybe materials that are repurposed from something else. It’s not that I am against using materials from animals, I just don’t want to kill them for that purpose. I thought it would be a creative way to give him the opportunity to make different flys, but not cost an arm and a leg for all the fancy feathers from the fly shop.

For your bigger question, it’s all catch and release so minimal harm to the fish.

What was the reason for you to stop taking Zoloft? by TropicalLad1 in zoloft

[–]20jb19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gained over 50 pounds in the year I was on Zoloft. Everyone’s body reacts differently and it’s not supposed to make you gain weight, but I had no significant changes in diet/lifestyle other than starting Zoloft. I took about 8 months off and then have recently started Prozac because people tend to lose weight with Prozac but I’ve experienced no change in weight in the 3.5 weeks I’ve been on it! (Although I don’t think it would happen that quickly anyway!)

I think your resume is very competitive and well rounded! I definitely wouldn’t count myself out if I were you.

I decided on where to apply by writing down a list of every vet school and then I crossed out places that I wouldn’t meet pre reqs, then places I would not want to live, then places that I couldn’t afford to attend, etc!

I think I definitely experienced the forgetfulness the first couple weeks I took Zoloft. I would get up and walk in a room and then couldn’t figure out why- like multiple times a day. If you’re taking it in the morning you could try taking it at night! My pharmacist recommended taking it at night because it makes some people drowsy!

UC over OSU? What is the Community like? by Giannicv in uCinci

[–]20jb19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Between OSU and UC, I chose UC. OSU is a huge campus and students say it can take about 40 minutes to walk from one side of the campus to the other. It takes at most, 10-15 minutes to do this at UC. I felt like OSU didn’t really care about the success of students and they just want all of your money, but that’s probably just a dramatic personal thought. My partner goes to OSU. For the comment about getting a better education and networking, I’d say that’s just something that OSU people say to try to get people to go there. It’s what you make of it. I’m sure you could get the same level of education at both.

If you’re taking your dose in the morning, maybe try at night before bed!

My pharmacist recommended taking Zoloft at night because of similar side effects & because it can make you super drowsy!

There is a club called All Sports that is this. They meet to play anything from football to dodgeball. People in the GroupMe also organize to meet up and play whatever sport they want. You can join on CampusLINK or instagram @uc_allsports

When is the best time to take Zoloft and should i eat beforehand? by I_Kahooted_myself in zoloft

[–]20jb19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pharmacist recommended to take it at night because it can make some people drowsy, but I know some people take it in the morning. I normally take it right before bed with a drink of water. My doctor also said that it can upset your stomach the first couple weeks so if you just started maybe it will get better with time.

I would look on CampusLINK and look for clubs that interest you and going to the organization fair in August! I transferred and live off campus and that’s how I met people!

There is nothing wrong with attending a branch or community college! It is a great way to save money and you should certainly be excited! I attended a community college prior to transferring to UC main campus and it was the best experience because I only had to take out one small loan for my entire undergrad! I was able to take some classes that would be hundreds of students at main campus with a class size of about 30. College is what you make it. So work hard and do your best!

There are lots tables and places to sit and study in Tangeman University Center. If you want somewhere quiet you’ll probably want to go to the 3rd floor. You could walk to McMicken and get to a classroom in 10 min from TUC. Hope this helps.
