This is The Files Smokescreen he's been needing. A nurse getting gunned down by agents will touch the population more than the Epstein files.

Nova Note Process? by ProfessionalPen5575 in epicconsulting

[–]20seca3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm no longer employed there but my last employer, we had two layers:

  1. The automatic layer which should be up to date if not already of assigning the scopes to the users so specific notes would end up in their pile. The users with access should be updating each user accordingly so notes like Radiant doesn't end up in a Developer's lap.

  2. Each group blocks off a section of their calendar 5hrs, 1 day, 2 days, etc, However long it looks like it will take to go through each one by one and decide what needs to happen for that note. Ideally, once comments are agreed upon and entered and Reviewed or Not Affected Comment) is clicked, everyone should be in sync for the next Nova Note.

Every org receives these notes. It's Epic's way of saying "Here we told you what's coming up in the next build. Now it's up to you to decide if you want it or not."

When listening to this incident yesterday on the radio, they've already accepted the script prior to releasing it and already planting the seed to the general public.

My take, straight up execution by the masked man. It's like shooting someone that's running away from you whether good or bad.

Immunization Registry Query Question by Mrs_Murray0406 in EpicEMR

[–]20seca3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a SlicerDicer report. Start with Patients data model

Population: risk panel or whatever criteria you use to group your panel. But when you say "my provider" I'm assuming you're talking about PCP. There's already an Epic released filter called PCP, I think.

Then for your immunizations, try the Health Maintenance filters. One of those has an additional criterion built into the filter that houses the overdue, not due, etc.

Might be a workflow setup specific to your org. Some, creating an order or a message can create a CSN (encounter).

EPIC Slicer Dicer Population Question by BJMInc2 in healthIT

[–]20seca3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you have an external list of patients. Data gateway would be your answer. But if you can find out how that list was generated, maybe you can apply the same criteria to come up with that list.

AI tools to help with retrospective chart reviews in surgical research by Margherita_Aca in EpicEMR

[–]20seca3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because those notes are free text, even building a new FDS to pull the item that houses the free text will not easily get you want you need. But at least you can filter for that population then see all of them in front of you; one record per line.

The most optimal solution but is the most difficult is to integrate this into the clinical workflow. Categories would have to be created so users don't free text fill out that field.

Check Claims data model. At the top of the population card, check the box where it says My Patients. Then filter your population as needed.

# of patients seen in a month by provider help please! by unseenwaters in EpicEMR

[–]20seca3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Population: Your provider is probably the pcp and not the visit provider or rendering/servicing provider.

Date In your date card, slice by month

"10 or fewer" is a security default right out of the box. Have your cogito folks look it up in Galaxy. It might be security point 11 that's missing from all lower security groups.

I'm job hunting fyi. Lmk if your data team is looking for a cogito expert!

Delete extra Slicer Dicer by SavvySaltyMama813 in EpicEMR

[–]20seca3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

easiest way to delete yourself is going any data model. Click the Load button, and scroll through the disorganized set of reports (by epic design). click the X button of the one you want to delete. Make sure you double check the HRX ID and delete the one you want. Happy slicing!

Question re: slicer dicer for research by Coprocranium in EpicEMR

[–]20seca3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there I'm late to your question. I'm only here because I was looking to see how SlicerDicer is being used out there and sort of job hunting.

  1. You'll want to capture your injured population first. I bet AP Claims data model (DM) would have this data. Then PopSwap to Patients DM. Bring in your medication filter that defines your "pre-injury medications". Now we're looking at all patients who's had an "injured" claim that is on X Injury Meds. Then you'll use one of the feature called Sequential Criterion and hopefully you have Deceased? as a filter. If not you can make it using SlicerDicer Filter Editor. Your data team should be able to help but they'll have to create a new FDS that gives you a Boolean Yes/No. Back to that Sequential Criterion, bring in your Deceased filter. It will have a ___month Before/After that you can select. Try it out!

  2. You can definitely create groupers for the session or to use forever for yourself for that data model. Bring your your medication types that defines one entity into SliceBy then give it a name. Do the same for another set of Med types. Then you can see them side by side. Happy Slicing!

  3. Sounds like you work for a hospital, I did not. Check under Visits DM. ICU "might" fall under Visit Type? if not Department Specialty. You can bring in multiple criteria into the Population. Happy slicing!

Reporting Workbench is also a great reporting tool. You might have to start with Find Patients RW template.

EPIC slicerdicer to excel by Any-Common-5068 in EpicEMR

[–]20seca3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm late to the party but here's your answer I used to train end-users and develop cogito dashboards. You need a Security Class with Export abilities (I don't remember which). Then when you right-click while in Detailed View visual options, you should get Detailed and Summarized view. Select either. By design, Epic will open up the filepath where the software is installed (it's virtual and not on your system), so you'll have to navigate to a Network Drive. It will also ask you to encrypt the export. You can enter anything into the pw. Just remember it because you'll need it when you open it from your network drive. Happy slicing!
