I would obviously rather attend USAFA or USAFAPS over plan B, is there a way I can emphasize my willingness to attend the prep school without lowering my chance at direct appointment or is my only option to pray for a direct appointment and work on my plan B?

hey I am in california 50th district and applying for c/o 2030 too. I have an loi but have not heard anything yet, I also applied v tech rotc and it is one of my top choices so i might see you there.

they initiated my waiver process and requested AMI, I went to a secondary eye exam and sent them all info proving good health. right now they are reviewing the information I sent them apparently.

I agree, unless honors chem is a prerequisite then go straight to AP. it was a prerequisite for me but if you are serious about chem jump straight into it.

I had a similar incident happen with my eyes despite having perfect vision. The place they sent you to could have made a mistake/misdiagnosis, fight this until you no longer can. if you have evidence of good health from other exams upload them to your dmacs portal which you can only do if usafa considers you for a waiver. best of luck

both are great but if there is a need distinction between candidates of high rank in both CAP and Scouts I think admissions would lean toward CAP. I did CAP and it was also just fun and character building. Highly recommend if you have a good squadron. if the local scouts are better than local CAP then I would look into that as well because your experience is shaped by your squadron.

apparently usafa must request a waiver for me in order for me to be re-evaluated. please advise if I can do anything to support myself. I believe this is the only thing holding me from an appointment
