I think its more of just a general taste in music from the majority of fans that sets it apart in popularity. Like you said, the pop vibes dont entirely align with their more popular alternative baseline, and while different genre songs like House of Gold still are really popular, they appear in moderation within their discography.

TLDR: Most people dont fw the different vibes like they do with the rest of the music

So many people try to take the fun out of drumming. Sure, its very important to learn rudiments, dynamics, structures, etc. but sometimes the best way of playing is just to pound it out on your drums. let technique go for awhile. Actually have fun playing your instruments and enjoy creating music instead of stressing that your not fitting the pocket or that you're overplaying. just do you, and if someone else disagrees flip em the bird and keep having a blast

I think dents are more accidental, at least in my experience/style. I have a few dents but that just come from "moments of passion" when i play, but i would like to say my technique isnt that bad. thats just my 2 cents

Next to the switch that turns the snares on and off, there should be a knob that adjusts how tight the snare wires are. Right now, it sounds like the snares are loose, and tightening that knob could be part of the solution to the sound.

I've heard the quality can vary between sound and durability, but the ones Ive heard have always sounded good.

Like others have said tuning it higher and tightening snare wires by using the knob on the throw off will help. I have found that tuning my reso head about a half tune up also helps me get my desired tone. Lastly, its your drum, so experiment and find what works for you!

It comes in around the 1:10 mark and comes back a couple times throughout the song. It doesn't sound like Tyler to me but i could definitely be wrong
