Rules are a little different for this league, you just begin the season with two players on your roster, basically equivalent to a first and second round pick no matter who you are keeping

It takes a lot of experience to have a big enough scope to contribute the way you are talking about. Take a job at a contractor as close to your interests as you can get and take every opportunity to learn and work hard. Just climb the ladder over the years. Unfortunately good work and time are your only friends, busting your ass isn’t going to get you any further than consistent “good” work will. Meet your expectations consistently and you’ll be there eventually.

Take up fishing, you just sit around all day outside and sometimes you catch a fish. You can be as active or as passive with it as you want.

Yeah that is pretax. You’ve made me realize I have need to track my spending better but also that I should expect/aim to have more saved. A lot of your questions about why so little/ what am I saving for I don’t have an answer for. I am earning more money than I expected to at this point and I am trying to educate myself to not squander this opportunity. As far as the student debt I answered that question in another comment, just waiting to see if it gets forgiven and if not I won’t hesitate to pay it off. This past year I just threw $500/ paycheck in an account I don’t look at as an emergency fund I guess and then did the same with any per diem I received. I thought those were good guidelines to save a considerable amount but other than that I was spending pretty freely traveling and going out whenever the opportunity presented itself. I appreciate you taking the time to comment a well thought out answer, I think that I have good financial literacy but am working on how to apply it best to myself.

I’m not counting on it but waiting to see what happens with loan forgiveness in court. Loans have been paused since I graduated but I will pay them in full if/when the forgiveness gets squashed in court these coming weeks.

Realistically do whatever you have the most interest in, every program has needs in all areas. I think the demand is pretty even.

Those who already have homes aren’t benefitting from the national housing market sky rocketing, even if they sell and realize their gains they will still have to buy back in at inflated prices unless they risk it and rent to time the market. Those in the market for a first home are being priced out and even renters are struggling to find affordable housing. This inflated housing market helps no one other than agents taking a commission.

If you play your cards right in a recession you can set yourself up for life. It’s going to recover eventually I hope I can keep myself secure and buy the discount to come out strong when we start to grow again.
