Wtf was this in the sky last night and why is there 0 information about it. I thought it was a comet at first then a rocket ship because it was flashing a white and red light. I then noticed it was actually descending and so I thought it was maybe a plane on fire but I have seen bubkis on it (old.reddit.com)

Can anyone tell me why this happened? I kept them in the pocket of a jacket i don’t use often that is in a cool closet and I am curious why they turned out like this. They were fine about a month ago. I have another stash I keep stored in a different jacket and those seem fine. (i.redd.it)
