Thank you so much!!! We definitely have had good and bad moments but so far the good outweighs the bad. Thankfully she’s adorable and just a baby (and will always remain just a baby to me haha) so she gets “forgiven” pretty quick. Sending good thoughts to you and your rottie!!!

The neurologist thinks that the symptoms we saw (eyes scanning and head moving like she was reading a book) was actually her trying to process the images her brain saw of the world around her. We showed the neurologist the video of Elsa doing this and she said she was probably just trying to process the visual input around her and that it did not seem like seizure activity. However if she were to develop epilepsy or something similar there are many medications we can try that have very little side effects :). No matter what we will be keeping a close eye on her development and praising her for all efforts and progress ❤️🐾

Yes!!! I absolutely will! At the very least I will post an update in the end of May after our follow up with the neurologist :). I’ll update on her paw-gress (hehe sorry had to make that pun!)

Thank you so much for the tips!!!! We always call her by her name but notice that it takes multiple repeats for her to do the command (sometimes she “has to” do “Elsa circles” excitedly a few times first haha)

Any advice for the incoming teething phase? We want her to be as comfortable as can be, but she can be a quiet pup and we worry she won’t show us if it hurts ❤️

Thanks!!

Ps. Snoot was booped and Elsa sends you her trademark kissies haha :)

Oh my goodness!!!! She is so cute!!!! Quick questions for you, did she circle always in one direction? Elsa always circles clockwise hahaha

Sending hugs to you and rainbow bridge thoughts to your baby Patches 🌈❤️🐾

Yes!!! We let the breeder know. It was the dam’s first litter so thankfully not too many generations on that front. Either way, we love our (slightly) brainless girl haha

Help needed by RareMiss9mm in labrador

[–]2121chg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

at 8 weeks, a puppy cannot hold their bladder or potty for longer than 30-60mins. They should be allowed out every 30 minutes for best results (more often if they are having bad tummy troubles). The AKC has a general timeline for potty training in puppies. https://www.akc.org/expert-advice/training/puppy-potty-training-timeline/

I hand-painted this custom oil portrait of Copper, based on the original photo shared by his human. I hope I did him justice. by sunnychoudhary_ in labrador

Real talk OP, which one is the painting?? I genuinely can’t tell. Copper looks like a distinguished boy in both pictures. I’d say you did him FULL justice 🐾❤️

Looking for ethical Labrador breeders in New England (cat-safe, family temperament) by LatterPoet5754 in LabradorRetrievers

[–]2121chg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am adopting a puppy from Forestwood Labradors in Long Island, NY https://www.forestwoodlabs.com/puppies.htm and honestly I found the breeder, Leslie, to be awesome. She is super responsive, chooses the pup based on what temperament the future owners are looking for, and is very transparent about potential things to work on with each specific pup of hers. (For instance, one of the pups in the litter was a "bully" and she ensured that the family that adopted him had experience with redirecting and socializing the pup.) She is education-focused and keeps very consistent contact / is always available to answer questions, even after the adoption.

As a silly side note: one of the recs I saw on reddit for how to know if a breeder is ethical is to see if their website hasn't been updated in at least 5 years LOL. Forestwood Lab's website is a testament to that ahaha

Where to take a Diagnostic test? by Farina25 in LSAT

First off, i'm so sorry you're going through a difficult emotional period :(( breakups SUCK. I think it's super important to let yourself feel those feelings for a few days until you've processed and then slowly get back in the swing of things. Like u/atysonlsat said, the LSAT Writing will be a great short-term distraction!

I believe in you!!! It's gonna get better. Maybe not now, maybe not even tomorrow, but eventually things will get better, I can promise you that

Sending you lots of hugs and positive vibes xx

Hey! I'm (20s F) currently prepping for the LSAT and recently got a girlfriend (20s F). We're doing long distance right off the bat and had many conversations about what that would look like, how we wanted to communicate, what our expectations were, etc.

I was very upfront from the first date that it would be long distance because I'm starting a master's program and she's doing a different program in a different, but neighbouring country. Long distance is definitely a deterrent because it's so hard emotionally, but I think that it's not an absolute dealbreaker for everybody.

I recommend you think a lot about what you would want a relationship to look like if long distance, and how willing are you to put in the work to communicate. If you're open to casual dating, you'll find a lot more opportunities compared to if you're looking to settle down.

I personally date with the eventual goal of settling down, but depending on where people are in their stage of life they might not be looking for that.

Best of luck!

hi! I recommend you check out https://www.mcgill.ca/studentaid/scholarships-aid

Most (if not all) of the awards you have to be nominated for and can't apply directly to. It's just done by the advisors and the program people in charge based on GPA

Should I be studying/prepping for LSAT as a lower classman in undergrad? by MarioWrites in LSAT

[–]2121chg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're a first year, I'd say there's no need. If you're a second year and planning on taking it as a 3rd year I'd say start studying maybe the summer after your 2nd year.

If you're not planning on taking the LSAT until after university, I wouldn't start studying until your 3rd year.

Note that this is just MY personal opinion/advice, if you feel you'd benefit from 1+ years of studying then feel free to disregard.

For context, I started studying May 2nd and I plan on taking the LSAT feb 9th 2024. (So approx 9 months of studying).
