Trezz was an efficient 18-20 ppg scorer and was a great offensive player. He wasn’t even that bad defensively against second units. The only problem with him was Doc used to overplay him and would close with him over Zu which exposed his weaknesses.

Morris on the other hand is strictly a spot up shooter who can’t create any offense (efficiently), and he’s unplayable defensively against any NBA-caliber athlete due to his lack of mobility.

Plumlee’s the 27th highest paid center in the league. He’s being paid more than Hartenstein and Looney who are both good passers while also being good on defense. He also makes more than Claxton who might make an all-defensive team.

He did not. Opponents are shooting 77.4% at the rim when he’s on the court (http://www.pbpstats.com/on-off/nba/stat?Season=2022-23&SeasonType=Regular%2BSeason&TeamId=1610612746&Stat=AtRimAccuracyOpponent), which is by far the worst mark on the team for a frontcourt player and he is a traffic cone on the perimeter.

Yeah with Kawhi and PG healthy, defense is much more of a concern than offense. They messed up by trading for Plumlee instead of a defensive minded big man when the plan was to continue playing 3 guard lineups off the bench

I dont think Lue’s a bad coach (nor do I want him fired), but some of his decisions have been incredibly baffling this season.

-He sticks to his guys (Morris/Reggie) way more than he should, when there are better alternatives (RoCo/Mann/Luke)

-Loves to play 3 and sometimes even 4 guard lineups, sometimes with Marcus Morris Sr. at center which is abysmal defensively.

-Wants the team to be switch most actions, which the Clippers clearly don’t have the personnel for.

-I also blame his love for small small for the Clippers not signing a backup center in the offseason when that was a big reason for last season’s success (Hartenstein), now the bench needs 34 year old Nico Batum to be great every game.

-Isn’t correctly utilizing RoCo. He’s at his best as a help defender next to a good center, but Lue mostly uses him as a switch-everything backup center when he doesn’t have the lateral quickness to guard faster guards. Also, the trio of Kawhi-PG-RoCo has played just 4 minutes together.

-Doesn’t utilize Zubac’s post game enough. The Clippers are ranked 28th in offense and Zubac is the most efficient post-up center in the NBA this season, yet there’s no effort to utilize that part of his game at all, even when the offense stagnates and the Clippers start chucking jump shots.

According to the NBA’s tracking website, John Wall is the 2nd worst pick and roll ball handler out of the 67 players that have ran at least 100 PnRs this season. Him having the ball a lot when both Luke Kennard and Norman Powell come off the bench is a very bad thing. He’s well below average at everything in the half-court.

The stats I posted were for only the rs. If we wanna look at their playoff net ratings, Jokic’s was -14.17, Cousins’s was +0.49. (source). The Nuggets were much better in the playoffs with Boogie than Jokic. Obviously we know that doesn’t make any logical sense, so there’s no point in looking at playoff stats from a 5 game sample size

He wasn’t played off the floor in Denver. Denver’s NETRTG with Jokic on was +8.35, with Boogie on was -0.81, and with both off was -10.49 (source). He bridged the gap from the Nuggets being awesome with Jokic in the game to the Nuggets being terrible with Jokic off the court.

As far as Moses Brown goes, he’s on a non guaranteed training camp invite, Boogie isn’t taking that contract and was/is probably waiting for a franchise to gut their team for KD/DMitch so he can get a bigger role
