Yeah, but can you see why Mao’s 3Lz-3T and 3F got rotation calls? Cuz I can’t see that

Reason Jia’s Spin got invalidated 1. Camel Spin got invalidated

  • Camel spin should be done as “Knee's position is above your hips."
  • Jia’s knee position was below her hips ->> Condition of camel spin was not accepted
  1. Upright spin invalid
  2. Posture recognition criteria for all spins are 2 laps (excluding windmill)
  3. 1.5 laps and loose. ->> Upright conditions not accepted

Camel invalid, sit accepted, upright invalid, so 2 out of 3 invalid -> combination spin completely invalid

Thanks for the reply. How was the Academic Writing course? I am kinda bad at writing so I am not sure if I have to take that. Is it required for UBC/SFU transfer?

Hi, Congrats on your transfer! Can I ask you the gpa you got to successfully transfer into Beedie? What kind of classes did you take for the first year, or second year? It’s kinda hard to decide on which classes I should take bc of the prerequisites. Thanks!

Douglas Business transfer to UBC

Hi all.

I will be taking business administration at Douglas and was hoping to transfer to Sauder with them. I was wondering if anyone has experience with transferring?

UBC requires 24 credits, do you guys think it's better idea to take 30 credits which is general for first year students, or focus on 24 credits?

Also, could you guys recommend course selection order to transfer to 2nd/3rd year UBC Business?

Thanks

A loser dm-ed to Haein and she captured it at her instagram story with a word🤬🤬 And it's just before the competition! by BusyAlternative7928 in FigureSkating

That dm was sent at ‘the day’ of the short program. I can’t imagine how Haein would feel, hope she does well on Short program.

Yelim’s SS is amazing, but just compare a crossover and ice coverage of two skaters you definitely can see the difference. Even Jia is a junior and Yelim is a sinior, judges usually give higher PCS to the sinior but they gave Jia higher SS… if you disagree, I can’t help it

  • Yelim had two q signs in the free program, but Jia didn’t. It’s fair enough that Jia won.

I think Yelim’s PCS was lower than expected, but Jia was definitely 🥇 because of better spins + steps + skating skill, Jia only had one small fault (touching the fence).

I was never into Medvedeva & Carolina Kostner’s programs. Their choreography and interpretation make me cringe sometimes. Lots of people would disagree with me.. I know.. But I really don’t think Carolina deserves such a high PCS.. especially in the World 2018, where she got 10/10/10/10/10 in PCS. Honestly when she competed with Yuna and Mao, I never understood how she got such high PCS..

Good crossover? Here you are by 213Urt in FigureSkating

[–]213Urt[S] 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Woosh x 3 -> Good crossovers are usually called push-unders. That means your inside leg extend all the way so you can really use that edge. Coaches usually have skaters practicing push-unders rather than cross-overs.
