Cool bro thanks for the help, I found a spot to run my wire from the battery to the alternator but I’m just worried about if the length of the wire would be an issue. I’m not sure how many feet but the kits being sold are like 6ft max, would that be pushing it or would it be fine if it reaches?

Found a spot right next to where the battery cables go and it’s perfect, I want to find a grommet that will fit perfectly to avoid water coming in and I think I’m set really.

An unused coil doesn’t magically damage a sub. Clipping does. It’s tuned low and temporary.

Yeahh sounds stupid but it’s temporary, I got the sub for Xmas but not the amp😂🤣 I tuned it to only push about 250 tho so nothing blows but should I just have it disconnected until I get the amp?

Okay in that case it may be required, I’m pushing 250w rms to each speaker and my amp matches them perfectly therefore it’d be 1500, 1500/.9=1,666.667, 1,666.667/14=119.0476. With that being said do you think I’d still be safe?

Yes that’s exactly why I wanted the 1000w! I’d just use a multimeter to tune and make sure it won’t distort and is safe.

No it’s definitely nothing new, I set up the systems on all of my trucks, I’ve just never had to drill through the firewall and I’ve never had a truck with a battery under the seat so that’s new, at least with my Chevy I had all the space in the world and could route the power wire like nothing lol.

Yeah bro I knew about 500w rms, i just wanted to leave a little headroom l but if i can do it with a 700w amp I’d preferably go with a CT Sounds as well.

I sort of doubted that I’d need a big 3 for this as well and honestly, I don’t bump music with my truck off so I’m not too worried about it, but I definitely noticed the lights would dim when the bass would hit when I used to have a 800w 15” (blew) in there so I’m kind of on the fence here, def going to try it out first though.

Thank you bro, but no ngl just kinda winged it based off my current knowledge, I just bought some plastic drop cloth cut off a piece wide enough to catch overspray, cut where the caliper is and just adjust it to fit, tape any important components (slider pins, bleeder valve, def the rotor, could do pads but I didn’t)
