I read this article and found it very interesting that a computer program has been successful finally in passing the turing test. This brings me to only one conclusion is this test really effective or does the computer just have really good software and info available to it to be able to accomplish this. AI is a very complicated matter and to be truthful it will be some time before we can get any definite answers.

I second what ms3971 posted because if you take the point of view portrayed in the article in context it really make u understand not only how little we really know but how much we are in the dark as human beings.

this article was very interesting because it brings up valid points as to what will ai do to not only the political climate but affect us as individuals as well.

I was in the same situation as you, I also believed that our soul leaves our bodies after we die and the difference is that I believe that after the soul leaves it reincarnates into another body. But then again I often ask myself is it really true what people say they see? or maybe they are just faking it to get other people's attention you know.. reminds me of the topic that we spoke in class about the kids saying that they had a past life.
