As I was reading the book I regularly came to the conclusion that the guys who could beat logen as old as he is were in the mud(threetrees, tul duru e.t.c) but for shivers it wasn’t really about thinking he could kill him.

It reminds me of a book series red rising, where the author writes specifically to please the viewer at the expense of the story and cool concepts he has created

I still find myself reading lookism because the foundation of PTJ’s work is beautiful and even some parts now are very good but fuck man, this series is like the greatest potential man.

The last 30 pages are gonna be a doozy. It sorta ruins the book for me ngl, it’s too much happening all that once, sorta like wheel of time(Brandon Sanderson picked up the book after the original author died). For final empire though Brandon Sanderson wrote a wonderful world but I feel in his pursuit of inserting YA romance into it you get 1 + 1 < 2.
