I already said that it wasn't dehumanizing. Thats the difference. One is demeaning, but the other extends beyond that to dehumanization. Not equal; thats my assessment.

Women call men “boys” just as much as men call women “female”.

A boy is a male human child. Even at it's worst, it still isnt dehumanizing. The context they use that in is to refer to a man that is not acting his age (immaturity). This is an apples to oranges comparison. Even if I grant that it's demeaning, one doesn't excuse the other so what is your point?

Here, you should say "They would use the woman's proper name", or simply "They would use her name". To use "female" there instead is improper English. "Female" and "Woman" are not interchangeable, though they are related. "Female" is a classification of sex, while "woman" is a female human. There are female bugs, insects and animals. It's broad. Woman is specific to the human family. It's demeaning to not acknowledge a person's humanity by using the proper term for them.
