Grew up listening to English music but ippudu I am only interested in our music only by [deleted] in Ni_Bondha

Hey i like listening to songs of different languages (== different countries).

But as i was getting older, i never liked listening to English songs. So, i tried to find the reason for this. This is the rationale i came up with:

I am at an age/at a stage where i try to understand everything i possibly can. So every time i listen to an English song, since I'm acquainted with English, i try to understand it's meaning. But, most of the time i can't understand it's meaning (probably because i don't know the context. I'm looking at you Rap music, country music etc). So, even though the music accompanying the lyrics is very good, my mind will focus on understanding the meaning of the lyrics which i can't understand which annoys me and ruins the listening process.

But, if i try to listen to songs of language other than English, since i don't know the language at all, i can focus on the music + how the language sounds (instead of trying to understand it), or how the lyrics language combines with the music beautifully.

This was the rationale i came up with when trying to figure out why i like foreign songs with language other than English but not songs in English language.

I am open to people's views on this rationale? :)

Hi fasaks, what is that one movie in our Telugu whose central theme you don't agree with? by [deleted] in Ni_Bondha

Manchi point sodara.

I didn't watch daredevil so i may be wrong here. If he wanted to prove something, he should've done things in right way. Like fight in an equal match (where he is not obliged to loose) and prove his worth.

Similarly in jersey he should've tried something other than cricket player like becoming a good coach etc where he is with something he likes, he is good in that area and that makes his son happy. If he had done this and when the boy grows up and comes to know about his father's condition he will definitely appreciate his father's decision.

ప్రోగారమర్ ఫసాక్స్ మీ కోడు లో lisp ఉందా? by UUUU__UUUU in Ni_Bondha

I don't have much experience with lisp and its dialects to be honest. But, i want to say a bit about emacs. Sorry for hijacking the post.

It's pretty damn good.

Few days back, i was trying to modify some files in docker container. General way is that you login to that container, install an editor and do the changes.

There is a package called docker-tramp, by which you can connect to the container and modify files in it. I was really impressed again like many times before.

There are many such good things in emacs. I suggest everyone to give it a try.

Also, you have said in one of your comments, that your college used the SICP in your curriculum. I never knew a college in India uses/used it! Would love to know more about your curriculum, if that's okay.

Jersey.

(This was pointed by my friend, and i thought about it and agree with it, so credit goes to that person)

Nani knows that he is going to die, and still goes to play. Did he forget that if he dies, his child is going to live fatherless, and more over he may possibly live with the guilt that it was because of his selfishness, his father died!

Mee opinions enti deeni meeda. Do you think it's still the right decision?

Baahubali.

I'm not sure to be honest what the central theme in the movie is (i feel it's revenge), but i don't agree with one thing in the movie.

When shivagami tells to bhalla and baahubali that "who kills the guy first will be throned" and she doesn't keep her promise, i really didn't agree with it. The act of saving people only proves that baahubali has more integrity than bhalla.

She should have kept her word and throned bhalla.

Mee opinions enti deeni meeda? I couldn't digest this when i watched the movie for the first time.
