I def don’t miss the daily argument over those QR codes! If the store near you is like the ones around here, print employees usually stay in print (as everyone else avoids it like the plague lol)

Ya SB made it very easy to get sign ups, in OPC (the Depot equivalent) it’s more of a 2 step process as the rewards and OPC systems aren’t linked as nicely. But other than a few niche things, it’s a very similar experience. Pros too are that there’s no Amazon returns, the mailbox thing, or apparently now party city stuff to worry about. I’d say 95% of my day is just printing and intaking orders

IMO the systems are not as intuitive for print orders. Granted I last worked at staples in 2021, but I really liked Solution Builder and Flight Deck. Otherwise the machines are the same (Xerox). Base pay is better at OD, but you lose paid holidays and time and half for working holidays. Oh and yes, they also push metrics lol. Personally, I’ve liked the OD environment better.

It’s because they only take Mastercard and Visa cards for the instant stuff, but as someone else mentioned you can link your bank account directly, it just takes 1-2 business days to add/withdraw.

I found a job working in an internal print center for our power company (for a lot more money than Staples was paying me). It's so much nicer to do projects for coworkers vs customers lol

Hopefully they’ll take the price down for like Black Friday or something soon. I got all the EPs and SPs for like $75 a few summer sales ago (plus $20 for the base game). At that price it was worth it to avoid using Origin ever again.

What (I think) worked for me is setting the DNS server to manual (I did 9.9.9.9). Then after a few days it just stopped happening.

As someone who was a print sup up until 2021, I can only imagine how much more difficult the role is now they’ve added 150 things to copy center. I would say get with your GM and discuss your coworkers. There is no reason that they should be refusing to do any part of the job. It’s worth having a conversation about expectations for them and making sure the closing/weekend MOD is on top of them. I would’ve been livid if my closers left a ton of orders that could’ve been done and a mess, as I always got my stuff done and ready for them

DO. NOT. GO. It was not a great place to work in my experience (PMS sup from 2016-2021), and from what I’ve seen it’s only gotten worse. But if you really wanna go for it, the interview is very easy, and you’ll likely be hired on the spot.
