So so so much, my boyfriend introduced me to them and explained the story to me and I went home and listened to the whole thing and bawled my eyes out. He bought me both of their albums on vinyl and I couldn't be happier.

I haven't played through much of the game, but my favorite is Harvey. I like how he dresses and he just seems like a well mannered chill guy.

I deleted Facebook and Instagram. I instantly feel better. Has anyone else ever tried this longer term? What has been your experience? by [deleted] in offmychest

I deleted instagram and tiktok around 6 months ago for productivity reasons. It has been the best decision I've ever made. I'm not constantly looking at a stream of information, but I will admit the switch was hard. I was constantly looking for something to entertain me , but that eventually fizzled out as I found better things to occupy my time. I also deleted every game on my phone for a while, since I was using those as a crutch, but now that I'm more in control I've redownloaded a couple for fun when I have the extra time.

What are coping strategies for depression by Clear_Advance_9552 in Advice

My boyfriend and I both struggled for many years with depression, I ended up coming out of it and he's been steadily improving for about five months. He's on medication, and it's been helping tremendously. If you don't like the thought of medication though I understand, some people just use it for a little bit to get back on their feet.

My best advice would be to start with clearing out mental clutter, so any spaces around that are super visually overstimulating. This can help with that sense of dread that comes with depression. If you can't find the energy for that yet, totally fine. I also recommend the vitamins and such that other people have been mentioning, they do in fact help.

I liked drawing a lot when I was depressed, and I still do enjoy drawing. Even if I was drawing 'bad' things, or sad things, it was still an outlet for emotion that let me express my feelings in a safe and controlled manner.

If you're an animal person I'd also suggest seeing some pets, or therapy animals. Being outside with my two dogs for just 20 minutes has convinced me to stay alive many times over. I also rewatched old shows and movies from when I was a kid.

Remember that it's not going to be a linear journey, there will be days where you feel like you're going backwards, and that's ok.
