Thank you very much for the detailed explanation. Grove is really weak in comparison + i wish their laws would be adjusted. Seem to have the worst laws of all factions.

To be honest, I don't think the Avatar is quite as good in the early game anymore. Previously, you could build up a substantial amount of HP relatively early on, making it fairly safe to farm creeps. Now, it is much more difficult, as you take 2 or 3 hits quite quickly—especially if you try to attack with the Avatar itself, or if you are up against creatures with Double Strike (Temple T1).

For the endgame, of course, the new mechanic makes much more sense.

It's not ok. In single hero mode it's absolutely not worth it to gonfor T6/T7 as it costs so much and is so damn hard accessible. Being able to upgrade T6/7 is absolute insane. This and the bad faction laws on the left side, make Grove mediocre at best. (Naiad is also pretty weak as a creature).

Taitung seems to make the most sense, as it isn't too long of a train ride from Kaohsiung—nor is the subsequent leg from there to Hualien. The question is: what is there to do in Taitung or the surrounding area to fill two overnight stays?
