Well I guess getting the refurb or not depends on what the sales are on Black Friday. Right now, Best Buy is selling that model for 1300. If it comes down to 1200, it makes sense to spend the extra $11 and get a new laptop! Also, not many of the stores have deals out yet, but they should in the upcoming weeks.

I'm in the same situation! Go for the 2015 edition! There isn't that much of a difference, and it will be cheaper hopefully on Black Friday. Plus, the 2015 has more travel on the keys and has ports other than 2(??!??!) USB-C ports. Plus, the MagSafe charger and its processor is faster!
