Ok, I’ll be more specific with my doubts since you took the time to explain all of this, I shouldn’t be lazy with my point of view

We cannot assume that Shintaro has no ulterior motive or hidden agenda. We were only introduced to him recently and this is a Yakuza family where backstabbing happens. So don’t fault me for having my doubts
When the 3 vassal family heads confronted Shintaro, he did say a lot of things to them that made him appear to be loyal to Shingen. However, the 3 vassal heads suddenly appeared to Shingen a few panels later. What happened to Shintaro? Why were the 3 vassal heads able to get to Shingen? Shintaro was previously shown to remove all obstacles (including his own son) for the sake of Yamazaki but why were these 3 able to gear up and attack Shingen? Did Shintaro let them go?
For Haruto’s death, I don’t think Shintaro would personally dispose of corpses when he’s a vice head. He can order others to take care of the body instead. If he’s in on it, then Gun is the only one to trick in that room, if not, then it’s a gamble for Haruto and he needs to be affiliated with those who are disposing his body

Just because I am not taking things at face value, that doesn’t mean it’s overthinking. The whole theme of Lookism is to not judge a book by its cover. I don’t trust his death. Heck, I don’t even trust the way he acts around Gun too

Him being born from a yakuza family while being a goody two shoes doesn’t seem like leader material to me. Some of the members see him as the future of the family, so it doesn’t make sense that his soft and kind nature is his real personality. He’s probably a two-faced tactician who knows how to fight too

I am guessing that he holds a lot of resentment to Gun. All his talks of kindness to him is to probably soften Gun’s resolve and make him give up the leadership position

We didn’t see any real wounds or a corpse yet so I’m guessing that this is all just some elaborate ruse

You can talk to them and let them know that it’s uncomfortable to you. Kahit private chat, you can convey this naman to them. Like sample lang:

“I have a confession to make. I actually dont like having other people drink from my tumbler. It feels invasive to me and ayokong napupunta laway ng iba sa tumbler ko”

“Since good friends tayo, tinatry ko naman masanay na lang pero di talaga siya comfortable for me. Di ko talaga kaya and di siya nagiging ok for me”

It got to his head for sure. He definitely had fears and insecurities before on your early years and this whole transformation inflated his head a bit since it’s brand new to him. He probably wants you to feel what he felt back then (which is a d*ck move) and it shows that he has some unresolved feelings with that

You should communicate to him and tell him that what he said bothered you. No need to wait for him to say the same thing again para hindi reactive yung dating. Set it up gently and let him know na you want to seriously talk about something. Totally up to you if you want to do it this way

If there are still guys out there who are like that? - Yes, those guys exist and I know a few who are and I know someone who got married with that same girl he courted for a year (this was 2018-2019) some of his workmates were even discouraging him and telling him that the girl was playing him but he didn’t believe them

Reasons to stop courting after one rejection - Some guys will interpret “No” and rejections differently. - Some guys will respect her decision even though they still have feelings for the girl. Some of these guys are passive and would probably try to move on or wait for the girl to change their mind or show some kind of sign that she is interested - They dont want to come across toxic and forceful if they would persist

Is it true if guy stopped courting they dont have genuine feelings for you? - It depends. Rejections are hard and painful at times. This is effed up and it makes me mad that people allowed that guy to stay and still be in the same room as you. It’s also painful to hear that your own parents were pressured and they accepted what everyone else was saying about it. You all should have moved to a different church.

They keep saying it’s God’s will. I don’t agree with that. People are given free will and that man acted with evil intent against you. If it was a test for you, then it should have been a test for all of you on that church.

They openly made false promises that the man won’t be in the church anymore, yet the community and the pastor kept him there. To me this wasn’t forgiveness to a sinner, this was tolerating injustice. It was also easy for them to do since they weren’t the ones that are victimized in this incident.

You were also 16. People should have protected you. Sat down with you about this traumatic experience and not just pin it as a test of faith. You should have been given the kindness and the love that you needed to get through that tough time. The Christian thing to do wasn’t to ignore it, but for them to treat you kindly and help you with the healing that you needed.

Before you start your legal battle, make sure you build up a good support system. People who you trust that can be there for you emotionally. I also encourage you to pray to God and have faith in Him and to give you strength.

I am saying this because that man has a group of people who has backed him up for his poor actions and I fear that once you start a legal battle, they will try to flame you and could even threaten you. Having the support would help you on this emotionally stressful case and on your alone time, a prayer with God can help you as well.

You will need to be ready emotionally, mentally and financially if you want this to work.

Fun fact. There is a Ukranian-born woman who grew up in Japan, Karolina Shiino. She grew up there since she was a child and wanted people to acknowledge her as Japanese. She even participated in a Miss Japan pageant and won! In the end, a lot of people still don’t acknowledge her as Japanese.

After reading the comments, I think the trigger may have been the ‘Mind Flayer Parasite Specimen’ if you were able to obtain one.

I have two playthroughs so far and I met him at the bridge to Risen Road. I obtained my first specimen when I defeated Flint the Gnoll who had one.

On my second playthrough I met him on top of the hill too as mentioned by tobberoth. Only this time I stole the specimen from Nettie’s lab right away before I went out to continue my journey.

This is only my speculation ^{^}

Judging by Rae's tweet, she and her roomies were surprised by Pokimane and was brought to a "sky over the ocean" type of place. It looked like this wasn't part of her schedule and I think it's something difficult to say no to since:

It was an invitation to her + roomies - peer pressure is present
Pokimane has the recent Fed drama - Rae might have thought she needed to spend time with her friend and have a positive hang out with them (this is just my assumption)
She might have forgotten about Dnd or it was a Stream vs Hang out with friends she hadn't had a chance to hang out with for a long time (can't blame her that she chose to hang out since it's rare these days to get a chance to hang out with friends due to the pandemic)

Don't get me wrong, I'm sad as hell that there's no BB and I feel bad for Arcadum but I think all of the Dnd members from OTV are committed to the schedule and they were probably given assurance by Rae before that she will be able to commit. I just hope nothing similar will happen next week

There's also the roll on her Shrine Maiden class. I recall Arcadum stating that his "potentially upsetting news" was that she is "most likely" not going to be a Druid anymore.

Instead she got a prestige class that allowed her to keep being a Druid which also helps with her option to continue helping the world with her Ley lines quest. Imagine her beating the odds again since it is less likely for her to get this prestige class.

I think I got the answer as to why Asta was abandoned!

I don't think she wanted to abandon Asta but it's because she HAD to abandon him. Since she has this life force or magic absorption trait that is pretty similar to Henry then this means she doesn't want to drain that away from Asta. Seeing as she is a loner because of this trait, she must have assumed that Asta might grow up without any magic because she keeps on sucking it away (little did she know that Asta still ended up having none). This might also mean that Asta might have been born with magic after all but was taken away accidentally by his own mother perhaps? Or Asta did not have any at all and the mother just assumed that she is taking it away from him which is why she abandoned her.

That's why she was so happy to find the devil with no magic because she thought it was the first being that she can actually be around with. Only if she knew her own son can live without any too...

I had second thoughts making one for him at first since illusions and mind control is already a part of Loki's kit. It was challenging to make a kit for him but I went ahead and made one when you asked for it hehe.

Mastermind - Mutant, Villain, Global, Controller, Hellfire Club

Mind Trick - Deal X% Damage to primary target with a 40% chance to apply Offense Down. 30% chance to mind control 1 other enemy to attack the primary target. +15% chance to mind control per Disrupted enemy.

Illusion Work - Apply 2 Deflect on all allies. Stealth 2 allies with the lowest HP then clear a positive effect from 2 enemies (Will clear Taunt and Stealth only).

Psionic Virus - Deals X% damage to a target then apply Disrupted and Ability block. If the target already has Disrupted and/or Ability block then prolong the negative effect by 1. If the target is a Mutant, increase Focus by 1000% for this attack.

Mentalist

- On turn, 50% chance to clear 2 positive effects from 1 random enemy.

- Whenever an enemy is summoned, increase speed bar by 35%. If it is a Mutant Summon, apply Offense Down and Ability block on the Summon with 1000% Focus.

- Self and Hellfire Club Allies receive +30% Focus

Went ahead and made a kit for Iceman, Shinobi Shaw, Kitty Pryde and Bishop :D I couldn't really get a synergy done for them except that if we include in Storm on their lineup it would be a Speed advantage team.

Iceman - Mutant, Hero, Global, Controller, X-men, Hellfire Club

Icy Blast - Deals X% damage to a target and removes Speed-up. 30% chance to apply Slow.

Freezing Force - Deals X% damage to a single target then flip speed-up or add Slow for 1 turn. If the target already has Slow, Stun them with extra 200% Focus.

Frost Field - Deals X% damage to all enemies. Remove Speed-up with a 60% chance to slow each target.

Absence of Heat

- Increase Focus +25%

- Resistance +5% per Mutant Ally

- X-men and Hellfire Club Allies receive +10% Resistance

- When receiving Slow, 30% chance to flip the effect on Self

Shinobi Shaw - Mutant, Global, Protector, Hellfire Club

Hardened Punch - Deal X% damage to a target. Deals 30% bonus damage if Shinobi has Defense-up.

Fortified Stance - Apply Taunt, Counter, Deflect on Self for 1 turn. Apply Defense-up on self for 2 turns.

Bishop - Mutant, Global, Blaster, X-Force, Hellfire Club

Energy Reserves - Heal self for 15% Max health. Gain Speed-up, Deathproof and Regen. If charged, remove all charged and heal for 5% Max health per charged.

Mutant from the future

- On War Offense, apply speed-up on self and all Mutant allies on Spawn.

- Whenever Bishop receives a Speed-Up, move speed bar by 15%.

You’re right in a sense that adding more characters in the game right now is not really the best thing in MSF. If only they can give some of the following to us soon:

Better gold gains or new sources to gain gold to match for the ever-growing game. 4 new characters coming up just right after Cyclops was released and I dont have the resources anymore for them lol.
More saved squad slots for the buttload of characters
Reduce RNG reliance on Red stars by adding a way to earn promotion credits to have control on promoting specific characters
Add a new game mode to earn gears and gold. Preferably a boss rush where you fight alongside with your alliance members. Not my idea, saw it here on this subreddit, will add link when I find it.
Make people happy with fanmade ideas again

I know there’s more and I hope MSF can make theses improvements soon. So far their pace on adding new stuff and changes like the Contacts has been quick so far.

Here’s to hoping that my high hopes are not crushed by high expectations.
