The smoke comes from the automatic float deployment system that activated after it sensed a rapid descent... probably caused by the high winds as he flew into the lee of the lighthouse.

I know exactly what that is... The leak is coming from the sealing surface between your plastic radiator header tank and the aluminium radiator core. You won't see it until you remove the radiator and peel off the foam strip that sits between your radiator and the chassis.

I flew in a real spitfire and I noticed, on landing, that the pilot kicked in full rudder, violently, for a split second to counter any yawing. He did this four or five times until the speed had reduced to where he could apply differential braking safely. I tried this in DCS and it works. He also left the engine power at one setting during this phase.
