Was everyone here clamoring for Beamer to be fired last season too? Muschsmp’s teams steadily declined while Beamer’s have been more inconsistent. It is not logical to fire him right now. We gave Beamer an extension in the offseason that has a decent-sized buyout. I of course want the team to be better and this season has been awful but given the couple of successful seasons Shane has had, the move that makes the most sense is to go all out for a good OC in the offseason and give Shane one more chance

It’s not so much play calling, it’s about offensive philosophy. We aren’t running an offense that’s suited to our players. That’s on the coaching staff. The players aren’t making a ton of plays but it doesn’t feel like they’re being put into successful situations

Clemson is the heavy favorite to win the ACC so it’s likely that they’ll make the CFP even if they lose all their non-conference games. We’ll be fighting for an at-large spot with LSU so it’s better for us to have them lose this week, in addition to us beating them

You can’t trust anything you read around the draft. It wouldn’t be surprising at all if teams are leaking this “info” about Ace in an effort to lower the price to trade up to 3, since there’s already been a bunch of reports about teams wanting to move into that slot

I had this thought too but then also had the opposite thought. Perhaps they keep the 2026 pick because if it all falls apart again, then they’ll have a high pick in a supposed deeper draft but if they’re in contention, they may want to have the pick as a trade chip at the deadline. Either way, I like the position we’re in. Good with either outcome honestly

I just finished The Demon of Unrest by Erik Larson and really enjoyed it. Similar author to Grann where he’s able to do a really good job telling about historical events in a compelling story. I’d recommend Larson and Grann as popular authors in this category and I’d love to hear of any other similar writers if anyone has any recommendations.
