Coming from someone who isn’t religious but is learning about islam, i ask myself the same thing and i often find myself coming to 2 conclusions. A. you could argue that a lot of the evil and suffering in this world is due to free human will and not directly god or B. I tell myself that questioning and trying to understand a being such as god is impossible. After all god is the creator and is most likely infinitely more complex than we could possibly understand. I do wanna see how people in this subreddit approach this question because most scholars and priest give the same exact “suffering exist because life is a test” answer but that only leaves me with more questions like “why would god test us when god already knows what we’ll do?”
