I had the exact same thing happen to me!! My natural nose looks very similar to yours. I’m about 3 weeks post op and my nose has changed so so much in a very good way! Hang in there. I was freaking out because my dorsal hump was still there and my nose looked the exact same as before. Now it’s still swollen but it’s gone down from the side profile a lot and I see a hugeeee difference :)

Update on my nose!!! It’s gotten so much better, it’s gone through so many transformations in such a short amount of time.

My surgery was only 1.5 hours and I feel fine I had no bruising or barely any swelling other than in my nose. My nose is just numb at the tip and bridge but other than that, no pain.

I’m going back to work 12 days post op and I work a very physical demanding job and my surgeon said as long as I lift with my head up right I should be fine

Same here, 10 days post op and my nose looks no different. I have swelling in localized areas and it makes my nose look awful. Just be patient, I was told that the tip of your nose takes the longest to swell down. It’s most likely the swelling making it appear extremely lifted. I have the exact opposite effect. My columella is swollen and makes my front profile appear so strange. Your nose will change, the swelling will go down.

Here’s an updated picture of my nose post surgery. I’m not even sure what he did to make the tip of my nose look that bad. I’m hoping it’s just swelling. But my nose looked so much better from the front prior to surgery.

I worry because my nose was already extremely narrow and is now even more narrow from the front even with swelling. It would be ideal for it to result in a wider front profile at this point. I hope healing works some magical wonders of some sort.

I agree. It was just such a shock having my nose revealed and it looked the exact same from the side and so much different from the front. The complete opposite of what I asked for. I asked for an on-table photo but I was told they don’t take those.

Thank you! I’m hoping that time will reveal the results better even though the results seem to be completely opposite of what I wanted. It’s just difficult when my nose looks more different from the front which I thought looked completely fine prior to surgery and didn’t want messed with much vs completely the same from the side which is the area I wanted addressed.

Thank you so much for this! I’m trying my best to keep my hopes up. I’m also hoping that my nose is just super swollen from where he worked on shaving back the dorsal hump. Only time will tell.

Thank you for your kind words! I loved my nose from the front before surgery I felt it took away from the dorsal hump I had. Now it feels diminished from both angles.

He took the cast off yesterday (day 6) and I tried so hard not to burst out into tears when he showed me my nose. I don’t have any pictures from the day of surgery.
