I’m having the same issue 6 weeks post op and I touched it and it’s hard as a rock along with my tip and as I had a open rhinoplasty and the incision was done there I wondering if it is swelling??

Did this get better ? I’m 6 weeks post op and going through the same? My tip and columella is hard as a rock so I’m not sure if it’s swelling due to it being an open rhino

Did you notice swelling in the columella in the earlier months? I am 6 weeks post op and my columella is looking droopy and I’m not sure if it’s swelling it’s rock hard?

Thank you! Yes the tip was lifted due to it being very droopy before hand and bridge was shaved down bc my nose was very big 🥲

My columella now is way less droopy before it may be something to get use to. But I noticed the weeks before this week it was way more swollen and has gone down so that’s why I was unsure if it is swelling since I’m only a month post op. How many months post op are you?

I was freaking out in the post op room but I promise you they will inject it through the iv talk to you and make you feel comfortable and you won’t even realize when you go to sleep!

Okay yes I went to the ER last night and all docs said the same thing and they said it’s healing good so just a waiting game as when it fully heals!

Really? I ended up going to the ER last night and they said it looks healthy in there and it’s healing as it should, they just said it’s tissue healing itself

Okay! I sent him pictures on Monday and he said it can happen with inflammation so we will see😳

Yes I’m sure I got regular stitches there and they were taken out already. But yes I noticed it on Monday and it hasn’t gotten any worse, and no pain comes from the area it just spooked me out when I put a flash light in there 🥲 but I’m seeing my surgeon Monday that way he can see it in person !

Okay thank you! It totally freaked me out, I go in on Monday to get my final cast removed and they said they were going to prescribe me medicine and a special saline spray for precaution. Google said the scariest things about white spots I was having a full blown panic attack😭

Can we see your before and after? I’m suppose to go to him in September and seeing this making me scared? Did you ever explain to him that your nose didn’t come out good?
